I don't love that kind of music, though. I'll stick with Gaga, lol. Whether she's the future or the past, I'll always love her music. I really love DSN and Future Nostalgia by Dua, and the success of Blinding Lights (at least here in europe) gives me hope. (BL even played between two Deathcore (metal) bands two weeks ago and the people quite enjoyed it.) trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it's broken but you can still see the crack in that ************s reflection. For this reason, it presents commercial, fashion, economical and behavioral trends, like any other market or industry I would love to say that the Grimes type of thing is the future of pop, for example, because it uses all the conceptual and stylistic tools of pop music as an art school, the same premise, even though it is more handmade and therefore more quiet and honest (spiritually speaking, conceptually and so on) ... but pop music remains "what people listen to" So, from that perspective, unfortunately, I think all of these examples from Ariana, Halsey and Swift are indeed the peak and future of pop music.
