It attacks the lungs, quickly damages them, and makes them highly fibrous. It is why it is increasingly difficult for those seriously infected to get enough oxygen. In Coronavirus infections the body must quickly regenerate lung tissue the virus destroys. In the young and healthy, who can rapidly regenerate, it is far less of an issue, but among those who are elderly, or not elderly yet have diseases like diabetes which hinder healing, the necessary rapid regeneration of damaged lung tissue is much more difficult. The virus affectes the lungs to that extend only on elderly or sick people (leads to pneumonia, just like some flu cases). But overall, yes, it's more dangerous that the flu and leads to penumonia in more cases. For most healthy individuals those things you are talking about don't happen. The problem is the healthy individuals can spread it to people who can't survive it. This is really scary. I live outside the space time continuum. But everyday we are having 10 new infections, and there will soon be an increasing death rate... dont know why they are waiting for that to happen. Delaney Elias 1,318
No but she is borderline positive and has been for a decade, maybe more. I have a feeling that she won't get it, but we can only hope. She is borderline positive becuase her aunt Joanne, as you likely know, died from lupus. She seems to be doing well healthwise, so as of right now there is no need to worry about her getting it. Delaney
