Seeka 12,372
In the current wake of the Coronavirus pandemic (or as I like to call it, THE SUN PLAGUE) does anyone think Gaga will do a no-audience concert? Like at the end of Chromatica? This is a relatively new idea, put forth mostly by Japan and their shut-down entertainment industry. A previous no-audience concert was held by X Japan in the wake of a typhoon. Yoshiki turned down a no-audience concert to keep his crew and band from getting sick. https://soranews24.com/2020/03/03/j-rock-legend-yoshiki-refuses-to-do-no-audience-coronavirus-concert-but-for-a-very-kind-reason/ The idea is that a no-audience concert would be held so that people can stay in the safety of their own home and stream it. I think Gaga will be recording the tour either way. Considering both the Born This Way Ball and Joanne tour went unrecorded.

I have never seen her live and I think the atmosphere, the interaction, the whole vibe of the concert just can't necessarily be replicated by a livestream. I honestly think that by the summer, the heat during the summer months will kill of the virus and Coronavirus will be more~or~less wiped out... if not, drastically killed off which gives enough time to get a vaccine rolled out. I don't think there should be anything to worry about, what matters is the here and now. End Racism Now

Sepsami 18,913
I can't imagine how awkward that will be, you know she's constantly hyping up the audience (sometimes a bit too much maybe?) What if there isn't an audience to hype up?

JustJames 968
Wow; surely, in ...1984/Brave New World/other government-takeover novels... there are references to the government keeping the masses distracted through something as perverse as a NO-AUDIENCE CONCERT? Anyone remember ARTPOP? The idea that the purpose of art was not to adore or idolate the musician/painter/sculpter, but rather that they were merely the muse and that art was at its core, democratic, participatory, and meant to live beyond the limits of that person/persons? If you think there is nothing cynical behind the idea of a no-audience concert, then you need to expand your worldview. True art sends a message; it bring people together and unites them; it causes celebration, thought, and escape. There is NOTHING artistic about a no-audience concert. It is purely "bread and circus," and while it should be obvious that we are there already, I honestly can't even understand how an idea like this would not make it TOTALLY apparent. I'm not here for this idea but I really don't think it's that deep tbh How is there nothing artistic about a no audience concert? Wouldn't that mean any concert without a live audience isn't artistic? Even though it's the same **** whether people are there or not? What about studio performances where it's just the artist? A great audience can help make the show what it is but it's not the be all and end all. It wouldn't be half as entertaining but the content is the same, save for fewer "come on little bastards, put your clown makeup on". People are still watching somewhere. Fresco 1,688
When she sang with the Rolling Stones there was a pay per view concert that could be viewed from home. There was also a live audience. The ppv tickets were cheaper than a live ticket. There were some technical glitches at the start of the show that did get worked out. Watching it on tv, was like watching an award show performance. RudraCNG 15,092
Even streamed, a concert without people cheering, screaming and all that would feel soulless. I can't even imagine it.
