uo111 5,265 Posted May 11, 2020 Share Posted May 11, 2020 This season is one of my least favorites, what with sherry making top 4 despite being annoying and rude (not to mention making fun of disabilities, which they edited out about as much as they could), aiden staying and rock going in episode 2, Brita getting a hard core villain edit for pointing out facts about aiden in the first place (not that I like brita, she should’ve gone in episode 2 too), crystal being edited out completely in the beginning of the season, this unfunny broccoli stuff, gigi being very ungrateful for her highs, and jackie being bitchy while pretending to be a nice girl. There is a lot to not like here. Crystal, Heidi and Jaida are the saving graces of this season. I miss Rock and Nicki too, went home too soon. The lipsync should have been Jaida vs. Sherry or Heidi vs. Sherry and Sherry should have gone home. She literally broke the rules, her show wasn't even funny except because she was making fun of herself and ignoring the main storyline she was supposed to deliver, has been mediocre throughout the season (despite everyone in the judges going crazy over her which I genuinely don't understand cause she's been so monotonous and flat to me), AND she was part of the reason Jaida didn't do well. Heidi has been improving a lot and even Michelle pointed out how her makeup has gotten so much better and she nowhere worse than Sherry. She could have easily been top 5. EDIT: ALSO the double save should have happened this week cause the lipsync was better and Jackie doesn't really deserve to stay in the top 5 as much as Heidi does tbh Soft, soothing, and succulent Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
HookerDotGov 542 Posted May 11, 2020 Share Posted May 11, 2020 Honestly, unpopular opinion, but we've seen all we needed to see from Jackie and I think she should've been eliminated the previous week (leaving a final four of Crystal, Jaida, Heidi, and Gigi, knowing Sherry is DQ'd). After the double-save, I knew Jackie would scrape by this week (I mean, her set was fine but...not as engaging or funny as edited) and Heidi likely would go home and it turns out I was right. I enjoyed this recent episode, but the editing is so leading and obvious. Gigi isn't my favorite, but I do think they've been editing her into a slump that isn't really that much of a slump. Sherry continually escaping a lip sync (she probably should have had to twice) is so telling that she was being given a winner's edit in the OG cut.
