Drag Race Season 12

6 out of the 11 winners on Drag Race aren't even white. The only time race has been an issue in Drag Race was in All Stars when they put that nonsensical twist in AS3 that robbed Shangie and in turn crowned Monet next year just to avoid backlash.

The Gigi hate train tho  I mean we should be mad at the producers not her, she hasn’t done anything wrong. Also, to undermine her talents because she’s a skinny white queen is low key racist.

Now, I still am pissed at the robbery that took place last night. Gigi and Jan were pretty close but Jan really had the edge for me, and I know I’m not in the minority for sure. It just bothers me how hard they’re trying to push Gigi on us while the rest of the queens fade into the background. It doesn’t make for good tv, it actually makes it predictable.

Look at DRUK, it was obvious from the beginning that Vivienne would dominate, but they spent time on the other queens as well, spread out the wins and gave Divina a front runner edit as well. By the finale it was unclear who would win because they both had a clear shot at winning, it was suspenseful. Since the sewing challenge they were both built up to be finalists and you could choose to root for anyone of the two.

Now it just feels useless to root for anyone besides Gigi. She’s doing great but they could totally give wins to other girls, like on this episode. The Ball Ball win was also pretty sketchy. And then you have this obvious edit they give her, the other queens saying in their confessionals how strong she is, the judges overplaying their praise for her. It’s just not good tv, that’s it. Give us an opportunity to root for who we want, don’t force us to root for a specific queen. I was rooting for Gigi at first but since the Ball win I started rooting for Jan (because she did unexpectedly well there) and then I fell in love with Heidi on that iconic Untucked moment. But while I’m rooting for them I know they don’t have a chance.

If they didn’t give Jan this win then it’s obvious they won’t give her any, and they’re just waiting for a perfect time to eliminate her. Or maybe they’ll give her a win later on to end the robbed queen storyline they’re giving her and then they will eliminate her.

But with the fan support she’s been getting, and the fact that she was cast as filler but proved to be more exceptional than they expected her to be, Jan will definitely go on All Stars. And I can see her slaying and actually being given the credit she deserves, like it happened with Monique.

She sang better, danced better and had better runway. In no department was Gigi better this episode.

I’d even prefer Crystal winning over Gigi.

Jan should have won that episode, she was far better than GiGi in my opinion... and I don't agree with Hedi being in the bottom. But thank god Britta is gone

Its just ashame because Jan is SO talented, like the challenge was a singing and dancing challenge... and Jans voice is literally amazing. Like Carson said, her performance was near on perfect. Gigis was good but like just because she had flips and turns in her performance means that she got the win? I don't agree with that, not when Jan has been putting in so much effort. Its annoying they are over looking her   

And dare I say it... Gigi is getting boring now. Like on the runways its the same silhouettes, its the same thing day in day out where as Jan gives me so much more variety.

Top 3 in this episode for me was;

Britta & Jackie (though her runway was great)

Crowning Monet was even worse. Apparently Monet was the picked winner from the beginning. And she was literally good in like the roast episode. They knew they couldn't crown Monet alone , because Trinity was way above and beyond her. Hence the double win.

If they had to crown anyone black, Monique was literally right there. Girl had not flopped, not even a single challenge. She was even unfairly put in the Bottom 4 for that lip sync rupalooza or something.

This is my own thread, but literally:

Some of y'all need to remember this is a reality TV-show, about drag queens lipsyncing, overacting, reading each other and constantly making ****-jokes and not the Nobel Prize. 

Like, I get that you are upset if your fav doesn't win, but you gotta take it less serious. People logging onto social media to fight over a drag queen that did or did not win on drag race is just a bit

I love Heidi so much  she makes me laugh every moment, I know she’s not gonna win, but I don’t wanna see her go either.

To me, it should’ve been a tie between Gigi and Jan, they were both awesome.
