ShayCristoforo 10,607
She's popular and has a voice that can go with lots of tracks. Her aesthetic also works for Chromatica. I don't care for her, but it's undeniable. Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

The way little complainers constantly lose. This. Funny how a lot of those lil complainers romanticize Gaga as a whole without considering the fact that Gaga doesn't want to be romanticized due to the fact that she admits her own imperfections and mistakes in her artistry. Tbh, she's okay with that cuz she wants to be raw and real and far away from being seen as perfect "musically". "And I still love you even if I can't see you anymore." You trying to sound smart and ended up going off point ..laughable Lmao you clearly have no idea how the music industry works don't you? There's a tendency to overcredit the popstar and not the cowriters and producers as the "talent" behind the "franchise." Plenty of artists are credited on songs when they most likely just changed one word. I'm not saying that is the case for Gaga but come on, we both know she doesn't even produce her own beats (except Venus... ). The illusion of creative control is maintained by the fig leaf of a songwriting credit. The performer’s name will often appear in the list of songwriters, even if his or her contribution is negligible. (There’s a saying for this in the music industry: “Change a word, get a third.”) Gaga isn't the only one who is highly involved in the creative process, Doja Cat has been producing her own beats, she often livestreams her creative process on Instagram, same for Fka Twigs & Grimes, they both make their own beats. The production quality is crucial, too. The music is manufactured to fill not headphones and home stereo systems but malls and football stadiums. It is a synthetic, mechanical sound more captivating than the virtuosity of the musicians. This is a metaphor, of course. Every instrument is automated. Session musicians have gone extinct, and studio mixing boards remain only as retro, semi-ironic furniture. The songs are written industrially as well, often by committee and in bulk. Anything short of a likely hit is discarded. The constant iteration of tracks, all produced by the same formula, can result in accidental imitation or, depending on the jury, purposeful replication. Gaga often does reunion meetings with Interscope to present them the music she's been working on, they're the ones who will have to decide if it deserves to be released . Also writing “top lines” (when a songwriter or group of songwriters is given a beat/instrumental to write for) has increasingly become more and more popular with more beats being produced than lyrics. Those songwriters are often the ones who come up with that hook/melody against that certain beat. The music has evolved in step with these changes. A short-attention-span culture demands short-attention-span songs.

I don’t understand the concept. Ariana sings amazing songs and does whatever she wants to do with her music. She was pretty vocal about her wanting to release only few months after her previous album and she did. Only because a girl sings catchy pop songs and is successful at what she does doesn’t mean she is manufactured. ALSO let’s not even mention the fact that she truly has some AMAZING songs like God Is A Woman, Into You, Breathin’...
