ARTGOD 3,266 Posted March 4, 2020 Share Posted March 4, 2020 I find it difficult for Katy to have a hit in 2020, and it’s not because I think she can’t have a comeback, Gaga had one just a year ago after all. The thing is Gaga took a break from dance pop and grinded for YEARS to rehabilitate her image by acting in various projects, doing tributes, showcasing her vocals and exploring different genres with Joanne. It was only after 5 years that she managed to have a blockbuster era like she used to before ARTPOP. Katy on the other hand has taken no break, has changed nothing about her image or sound and has done nothing to rehabilitate her image. She has released track after track in the hopes that one might catch on, and while it is possible to have a comeback that way, it’s much less effective.
