She turned down releasing The Greatest Thing because she and Cher didn't actually make the song together so I'll be a bit disappointed if this is one of those "alright, Ariana, email us your vocal track and we'll finish this" type deals.

It wasn't like that with Florence so I'm not expecting that to be the case but I don't have a lot of faith in Ari or her music manufacturing team 

At worst, it'll be a skip track for me. But I'm expecting to be proved wrong

Gosh, I really hope she will do more collabs with living legends. On the top of my mind Cher, Kylie and yes, even Madonna but if she would keep her ego in check.

But knowing her, at the exception of the early days when she had no power in the industry, every time she's collabed with someone was a process that came organically and wasn't just a gimmick to multiply chances of charting or kickstart a fellow label artist's career, so I trust her intentions and am curious to see what can come out. It will be what it will be.

I’m totally with you on this one, I just...don’t care about collabs, the whole idea is eh to me, even I know so many people love the idea of their faves on the same track.

 I’m just super excited for new Gaga music and I’d be more than happy with 16 tracks of just her, as unrealistic as I know that probably is in today’s music industry.

Production/writing collabs are a different beast, I’m happy to see her starting to relinquish control around this a little, but as for the need for collaborating on vocals with other big artists, I just don’t feel the hype other people seem to

If it's Ariana, most of her songs will appeal to the gp but I expect Gaga to be overshadowed by Ari because she is Ari. I hope I'm wrong on this. She can stay recollabing with her best rapper Nicki.

I would rather a Madonna or Ava Max collab

That was so minimal though, I personally wouldn’t count it. 
Mark Ronson said in an interview that he and Gaga had essentially finished Joanne but the label wouldn’t accept it because it was 100% real instruments and had no computer generated sounds whatsoever which is total 180 to what Gaga was known for at the time so they sent Bloodpop in to “bring them back to earth” or something like that so I’m assuming all he did was just switch some guitars for synths in each song. He doesn’t even have top producer credit for each song he’s credited on too. I think this is why Gaga decided to make Chromatica with him because there wasn’t any actual creating once he joined Joanne.

You are esentially right but it's not the label that pushed Gaga into collaborating with Bloodpop. She said that the songs were too organic but when Bloodpop got involved the album finally started to go somewhere.
