StarstruckIllusion 53,580
Not the Dems coalescing and endorsing around someone who is clearly NOT the clear front runner... Joe’s issues suddenly didn’t disappear. Trump will sweep him. Moderates are so lost and scared Jesus Christ no wonder most of America hates Democrats. Bernie's wealth taxes, Corporate taxes from the beggining were always higher. Even when they speak the message is quite different. Warren even said she's a "capitalist to her bones". Her message has always been to help level the field for everyone, end regressive taxes and regulate Corporate sector better to reduce exploitation But Bernie's wording has always been anti Corporate, he almost sounds like he hates them and couldn't care less to see them destroyed and wants a system not driven by profit They both may have wanted higher taxes on the rich and more programs (and even that wasn't to the sake degree) but fundamentally Warren is still a Capitalist that just wants to tweek the system to give people a fairer shot... Bernie seems more anti Capitalist I don't think their platforms and mindset was ever that simmilar even if some of their goals were the same There tax plans are very similar on the ultra rich, they both want to forgive student debt, they both want to make college tuition free, and they both supported Medicare for all until Warren pivoted to the moderate crowd. There both capitalists and Bernie has never said anything about undoing capitalist values he’s just against the amount of influence and power the rich have. Bernie isn’t anti capitalist he is anti corruption huge difference.

One of the links I found is Fox which I know if frowned upon but these are just quotes not an analysis: "Sanders explained he is not a capitalist because he "will not tolerate for one second the kind of greed and corruption and income and wealth inequality and so much suffering that is going on in this country today, which is unnecessary.” “There are differences between Elizabeth and myself,” Sanders said during an interview Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “Elizabeth I think, as you know, has said that she is a capitalist through her bones. I’m not.” https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.foxnews.com/politics/dividing-lines-bernie-sanders-slams-elizabeth-warren-as-capitalist.amp Elizabeth considers herself -- if I got the quote correctly -- to be a capitalist to her bones," he said. "I don't. And the reason I am not is because I will not tolerate for one second the kind of greed and corruption and income and wealth inequality and so much suffering that is going on in this country today, which is unnecessary." https://www.google.ca/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/bernie-sanders-draws-contrast-elizabeth-warren-capitalist-bones/story%3fid=66217140 Bernie also consistently sounds like he does not like the idea of profit while Warren is more than fine with that I think fundamentally their ideology is very difficult The only thing they have in common about their speech even before Warren started compromising on some stuff is the idea of more distribution via higher taxes on wealthy or student cancelation like u said... But even on those things Warren was more conservative than Bernie

But even on those things Warren was more conservative than Bernie There not identical candidates my point is there both progressive candidates while all the other candidates are moderates. She is more similar to Bernie then any of the moderates. Pete, Amy, and Steyer were by no means identical to Biden but they were all moderates and dropped out to support him. All I’m saying is if Warren was a progressive like she has claimed she would of dropped out to support Bernie against Biden.

I will never blame you for taking this stance like some people will do here. Because at the end of the day it's about voting our conscience If the DNC rigs our chances to elect our candidate in a democratic way How else do we show our displeasure! Like seriously The superdelegates system is only present in the Democratic primary not in the republican primary. The people's vote counts there. Whoever gets the plurality of vote gets the nomination. Nobody can sabotage that. In 2016 superdelegates were in the first ballot now it's on the second ballot (bernie did that but I dont know if that'll be enough though) if the frontrunner doesn't get a majority they choose and since they are the establishment it's pretty transparent who they'll vote for tbh. It just feels a little different to me tho Amy Steyer and Pete helping someone more centrist than them is different when they are running against a man (Trump) who is MORE conservative than the candidates they are now supporting It's a compromise but it's still in the direction they are in vs the current man in power. Because Biden is still towards their direction vs Trump. But in Warren's case Bernie is PAST her direction. Bernie is still relatively more left than Warren, and I don't think Warren even supports how far Bernie wants to go on things. What ur saying is valid and has logic. But I also don't think Amy or Pete is supporting Biden is quite the same I dunno on the whole left vs right wing policies on the Spectrum Warren is the one I closest identify with and I'll be honest, if I was in her position I'd be reluctant to support Bernie as well who in my opinion is a little too agressive on his policies Maybe I'm just putting myself in her shoes. I can see that it is a little different your right but I still think at the end of the day she has no business staying in the race. I have my opinion for why I think she should of dropped out and you have your opinion on why she is staying. I think we will have to agree to disagree at the end of the day. But you are right that supporting a candidate more moderate to your beliefs is easier then supporting someone farther left to your beliefs.

I wasn't saying she should stay. I was only trying trying to think about what she might be potentially thinking (right or not) This is just me. But if I was in her position... Id drop out but I don't think I'd support anyone specific in this case. I'm not sure I'd support Bernie but at the same time Biden is also not offering enough change in my view I'd prefer to just focus on endorsing the the Democratic party in general and speaking out against Trump and then who ever wins the nomination wins

After she loses her home state to Bernie today she will drop out and back Biden too. Her campaign took the gamble in having her flip flop all her policies so she’s a “progressive” and it didn’t work. Now her only goal is to derail the Bernie train with what little money she has left. The funny thing is that some moderates want her to drop out because they believe this will help Biden. Some say that she is still in the race because it can help more Bernie. I dont think her supporters are hardcore progressives, but her endorsment will help any candidate, including Bernie. That seems like conspiracy theorizing now I havent seen any evidence that her purpose in the race is to detail Bernie She has no clear path to nomination right now even with 100% of superdelegates. She said herself recently that her goal was to steal delegates from the frontrunner. Which is Bernie. Woolfsmck 2,763
Uhm... Trump stole 2016 with the moderates switch for him over Hillary .. So .. Bernie will win because the moderates will switch back to Bernie??? Really …. Okay delusional political annalists .. Biden is center left... the Moderates who unwittingly went with Trump will likely jump to Biden … Bernie is causing all the capitalist conservative leaning anybodys to pull out their insecticide … Duh!
