Middle America is not coming out for Bernie. Bernie supporters are coming out for Bernie. Sad, but true. We all want progressive values... but we need a stepping stone. When the partisan pendulum swings far to the left, after Bernie, it's going to swing far to the right. Bernie has good values, but I don't see it happening for him. Lmao. The pendulum is extremely far right now. So, by your logic, it should swing back to the left shortly, which is a good scenario for Sanders. Also, this myth of "Middle America" wanting a centrist is simply not true. Donald Trump is far right, yet he won Middle America. Why? Because he's a populist. Bernie Sanders is also a populist, so he has a better chance at winning back Middle America (The Midwest), whatever you want to call it, than Biden. Today's politics is all about populism. Btw, Biden has voted for NAFTA and other disastrous trade deals. If he ends on being the nominee, Trump would bang people over the head with that info during the general election, making it harder for Biden to win back the Rust Belt. On the other hand, Sanders has opposed all of these bad trade deals, so Trump wouldn't be able to attack him on the trade issue.

The idea you just posted is what is actually preventing the progress Bernie is trying to make happen. The notion of “no we can’t have nice things bc some people might not be ok with that.” Imagine being so brainwashed that you think the U.S. has not progressed in 70 years. I said the policies Bernie is pushing for (universal healthcare, wages, housing etc). Also, I would really appreciate it if you would stop with the subliminal race related attacks on me. Also, I wasn’t alive when segregation was a thing but I have not *ignored* the fact that it occurred no less than a generation before mine. And neither do I dismiss the progress that has been made, but what I believe is more important is pushing aggressively towards the vision of Dr. King re: poor people’s campaign instead of your petty comments. Do some research and stop being brainwashed. Did I specifically talk about the Civil Rights Act of 1964? I'm talking about the movement in general. The idea that minorities and the disenfranchised can come together and fight against the injustices and inequalities of their time was a "radical idea". If we want things to change, we need to fight hard for it. Bernie is literally fighting for you. How about instead of brushing that aside, you actually take that in? Other politicians will say their fighting for you, but establishment democrats and republicans all come from the same place. 2 minutes ago, JusKeepBreathin said: Yes and he praised literacy but the problem is that that literacy he praise came with indoctrination that he DIDN'T mention at all.
