So you can reel back whatever pretentious little rant you wanted to go off on about Gaga's punkocity or lack thereof in your mind lol

I'm genuinely curious about the "punk" influence on SL sonically that one member is talking about but thanks for the unnecessary remarks, I guess.

I always support Gaga 100%, but if she would put SL out before DSN, I would credit Gaga.

But DSN is definitely more disco than SL.

Agree with this. For me, SL is a 80's heavy synths anthem

Hasn’t a disco comeback been happening every year since 2011 with BTW? :laughga: people saying it every year

Dua didn’t invent the modern disco retro sound and aesthetic. I mean, Madonna did it back in 2005 with COADF, with very similar visuals and also a disco-tinged electropop sound.

It's fortunate, too. Gaga's music could probably thrive in that sort of environment.

I think it's so funny to see how cyclical music trends are..

A lot of dance pop has been disco influenced. Electronic music too, so this is nothing new.

The difference with Gaga is that she is able to directly influence musical trends in a big way, so disco-influenced dance pop could become widespread again like it was 5 years ago.

I'm not saying she invented it, much less did I ever think Gaga invented eurodance and house music back in 2010. But I wouldn't say Gaga brought it back to the masses when Dua made everyone excited about dance music again with DSN and Physical, more so with Physical. Then Gaga came out with SL which probably reinforces the GP's interest in dance music again.
