They're 100% real to many democratic countries across the world. Most Bernie supporters know that he can't accomplish everything, but the Overton window has shifted so far to the right recently that if we don't start pushing to the left we'll all be voting like 1980's Republicans before long.

At least this proves there isn’t anything damaging in Bernie’s opposition file we don’t already know about. We keep hearing about Bernie not being vetted or that there’s opposition research that will tank his campaign. But it really does appear as if the remaining candidates are desperately cooperating to deny Sanders a majority of the delegates, even sacrificing themselves. That Buttigieg would drop out a day before ST rather than deploy  damaging opposition research on Sanders makes me doubt that it actually exists. Warren staying in the race admittedly to blunt his momentum is proof of this as well.

I wouldn't be so sure of this, it's completely possible that she's staying in to help maintain a sliver of the moderate/left vote to be "more like Sanders" than Biden per se. That being said, if she's not getting delegates she's not really doing much to help or stop him.

He will make more young politicians realize they can aim more.

There will be more young Candidates options then.

Hopefully this is the last term for politicans in their retirement or nursing home age trying to run a country in U.S of A. Many of their views are not relevant anymore in the world where Millenials and Gen Z rules. They should enjoy life, a cruise to Piraeus, or to Roatan,  or something.  And let the young people shape this country.

You don't have to be financially strapped to know that wages have been stagnant for many people for decades, health care costs are killing and ruining lives, people in power are woefully unwilling to fight climate change, and that our government is entirely captured by monied interests, you just have to be informed, and young people are informed.

And as I think now several people have repeatedly told you, no one thinks hes gonna stroll into congress, wave his hand and pass M4A or anything. Going with the only possible choice, even if it fails is a pragmatic decision, where as accepting nothing will change, or being blind to the fact that things must is not.  And just literally, I have much more concern for moderates who think Joe Biden will get into office, shake Mitch McConnell's hands and then they will stop being obstructionists. It will be the same thing - bipartisan consensus to appease wealthy people and the donor class, strict gridlock on social issues, and brief concessions on right wing economic issues. Foreign policy remains Imperialistic and leaning towards forever wars.

Look, some of you know I love Warren and Bernie was a ...distant second for me. But she needs to drop out, now. Black voters aren't a monolith but are notoriously under polled, and Bernie's losing Black voters in liberal NV and by far wider margins in conservative SC. If Pete drops out, his voters + Biden's strength with Black voters + the fact that he'll be the only one viable in FL most likely...it will be Biden's race to lose.

With regard to Selma, Bernie attended in 2019. I understand the significance of his presence or not but to make it seem like it was a huge mistake seems off to me. I do think doing the GOTV effort in CA was more meaningful than being in Selma specifically today. California is Bernie’s one shot to get a delegate lead that gives him the nomination and that’s entirely dependent upon him keeping Warren and Biden under 15% statewide. Californians aren’t going to base who they vote for based off of Bloody Sunday attendance.

And honestly, if you vote based on how a politician's supporters make you feel, that's a very low info voter thing to do.

Voting should be primarily based on policies. Not on your feelings.

If Joe Biden gets the nomination, I am 100% voting for him in November despite me not thinking he is what this country needs because the opposite (Trump) is much worse. 

 Playing the “party establishment is out to get me” mentality is soooo 2016 Trump. if that’s how the Sanders campaign is going to be, they won’t ever win.

 

Pete ran his entire campaigning without EVER complaining. He never whined when debate requirements got tougher. He didn’t call the questions he faced to be targetting. Unlike some other moderates (cough cough Mike and Amy!) he didnt doge questions about his past and was sincere in his attempt to build a diverse coalition. And when he failed to do so, he was self aware enough to drop.

 

Let’s see Bernie try to be that selfless. He literally tried to fight at the convention to take the nomination Hillary. Tulsi gave that crazy ass speech, don’t forget.

I’m not completely sure what you mean, but I’m assuming if she drops out her supporters would be more likely to vote for Sanders over any other candidate. By now it’s clear she has no chance of winning. She’s only splitting the progressive vote, and Bernie  needs to start winning by bigger margins if he’s going to get a majority of delegates.

Actually the most recent stats I've seen show 21% of his supporters choosing Bernie as their second candidate, with both Biden and Warren getting 19%.
