I was raised on the value that you stand up for your beliefs. And I will never believe in socialism, which is why I will never vote for it Bernie does not believe in socialism, he believes in social democracy which is capitalism with some social programs. Even you support social programs like education and social security, Sanders just want to add Health Care to that. Nobody is getting free ****, poor people will be paying taxes to get basic human rights. Asking billionaires to join poor people is not socialism. Socialism in America already exists, but only for the rich! Example is how they take money from the poor to bail out bankers. And how poor people pay more taxes than billionaires. This is capitalism for the poor, and socialism for the rich and I dont see anyone screaming SOCIALISM! They only scream socialism when its used for good like poor people getting health care. Im a Libertarian so im extremely capitalist and not part of the democratic left, but what Sanders wants is not socialism.

You don't have to make it about the mean Sanders supporters etc, you can directly say you simply hate the idea. No made up "external reason" was needed. 1 hour ago, Halsey said: And yes maybe my vote is entitled. But that's how the system is designed, for people to vote in their own best interests and personal beliefs. Actually no. It's designed to let you chose whose interest you place first. You can vote to help the most disadvantaged ones, ignore other interests or consider it but place yours first etc... It's you who chose in this system, not "the system being designed" in a way that's pushing you to do so. Second time in this thread you're making up some external reason for your own choice. For someone who brags about being raised with the value of individual responsability you deflect yours quite a lot. 1 hour ago, Halsey said: And I was raised upon the values of you work hard to succeed, not everyone gets free sh*t. For someone who tried ( many times ) to drag sanders supporters by comparing them to trumpsters over a string of stretches you very easily recycle republicans oldest and favorite talking point. That's the second sign of hypocrisy coming from you in just one comment but I'm sure you gonna keep telling us about these nasty sanders supporters and how flawed they are etc lol... You've proven to the world how ugly your "revolution" is. Hopefully that's the biggest, only, and last accomplishment of your movement. I think it's fair to say the toxicity has existed on both sides of the coin. I think your take here is to the extreme and It's well taken bc your candidate has dropped out. I just want to point out that this kind of behavior was there in 08 between Obama and Clinton and has always presented itself in primaries. The point of the primary is to make those distinctions, to prepare the eventual nominee for attacks they may face in the general and at the end of the primary, the party comes out united under an agenda that benefits both the Party and registered democrats. If you haven't already voted for your candidate, please go vote and vote for whomever you would prefer but the notion (not saying you would, maybe you would idk, that's your business) that you won't support the nominee is a conversation we should have when we get there. Same for me considering I don't really like any candidate still in the race other than Bernie & Tulsi (one of which has no chance to win at all). See you in Milwaukee Fascinating that calling Pete a rat is weaponized against Bernie folks who use the terms but the other side does the same thing to try and bait Sander's supporters into attacking. This is a textbook of gaslighting. It's also really telling that 'unity' only matters if it's for your candidate and not mine. It's a disservice to the party and it completely goes against the attacks in this thread alone that Bernie supporters are the only toxic supporters. And what do you say to the fact that you're being just as toxic as the people you disavow and clearly don't want to be part of the party? Which your party clearly needs in order to win any general election? What does that say about you? Wasn't Pete the one who said that the problem with Sanders was that if, "you're not all the way with him, that's not good enough." So does that mean that just because I don't agree with you 100% on every issue that you don't want my vote in the general? Really interesting gymnastics that are going on around here all of a sudden. What is wrong with you?! If it were that easy it would have already happened. You make it sound as if Bernie is going to snap his fingers and it will be done. No. It's not that simple. You have to pay for these things. No one's going to vote to give him trillions of dollars except for the very fringe left of the party. The moderate left is not against these things but you undermine much of work that has already helped tens of million of people get healthcare. I think there can be some tax deductions added to help student loans but loan forgiveness - trust me - somebody will pay for that other than the students who benefited. That's simply not fair.
