ItsTommyBitch was another Sander's supporter who seemed unimpressed with that thread. Other users who are Sander's supporters weren't quite so civil, which matches a pattern of toxic behavior on this site and social media more broadly.

Would you choose petty online rivalries over policy for the country? I understand the hurt but when voting, shouldn't you be looking at policy and what the person running themselves have said and what their official campaign has said, rather than what people online behind avatars say?

He has never taken cheap shots at other candidates even when his opponents have. His supporters, sure, not not he himself. Or his campaign. It's unfair to disqualify someone because of what some small, loud supporters say.

I didn’t think Pete would be the next to drop out (honestly thought it would be Warren) but I honestly will commend him for being the first openly gay candidate to make it this far so kudos to him.

I was never impressed by him for multiple reasons, but I would have been okay if he made it to the end.

In any event, all you can do is move onward an upward. And since I’m civil about this, I wonder who will be first to accuse me of being toxic and view this as harassment?

And I won’t forget when thI DNC takes the nomination from Bernie at a contested convention and the person they nominate loses to Trump in a landslide and we get conservative courts for the rest of my lifetime. So I guess we’re even.
