Nah I love both the song and video! And everyone I've talked to thinks so too! It's only Gaga fans who hates everything she does lol! Stupid Lve is great and I've probably read/watched a combined 30 reaction/revivew articles/videos that were all super positive so cleary a good portion of the GP likes it. Still top 10 on US spotify on it's 2nd day and PI wasn't even top 10 ever so it's clearly being better received. Gaga fans are so negative, they can be the worse sometimes. Cheers boo :vegas:

Girl get a grip... where was I being negative? I have my opinion of what I personally felt.....

Or are you dragging yourself?

I don’t know why but I feel like I’m the only one that enjoys the song and video... Like the hype is nonexistent and that’s ok with me... Music Not The Bling i guess...:selena:

When people have misplaced their own egos into their stanning of a pop star, they feel bad about themselves if they can’t claim to be #1 based on whatever measure they are using to compare their pop star (or, their own self image as a fan) to others.

these people are what causes toxicity in a fan base and doesn’t allow people to enjoy things they should.  It’s like anti-hipsterism, pop fans seem to want to be part of the most successful group irrespective of artistic merit.

For someone who had 15.2 million subscribers at the time of release, 10m views in one day is very impressive. That means that the majority of your fanbase watched it.

Compare that to other big names with more subscribers who put out videos recently. Taylor Swift put out her video for The Man just one day before and despite the fact that she has 37.3 million subscribers, it has only had 18.8 million views and 969k views to date. Sure, it's the fourth single off her album, but when you have that many subscribers and are known for your devoted fans, there's no excuse for that very poor performance. Katy Perry, with 36.3 million subscribers, has completely imploded when it comes to views and likes. Her last 5 videos - 365, Never Really Over, Small Talk, Harleys In Hawaii, Cozy Little Christmas - have had nowhere near the amount of attention that her previous works did, she can't even scrape 1 million likes with her last few videos and this has all come right out of nowhere (yet, she still gains subscribers, which suggests a big portion of them could be fake). Compare this to much smaller artists who aren't even particularly mainstream, like Doja Cat, who has only 2.1 million subscribers. She put out her video for Say So the same day as SL and it has 11 million views and 962k likes - that's more than SL despite much lower views and much fewer subscribers. What helped that song was that it had been big for weeks prior after becoming a TikTok hit. So, the power isn't just in the music video anymore anyway.

So, yeah, I'm kinda disappointed that attention is suddenly decreasing on the video today, with it going down rapidly on trending and views and likes suddenly slowing to a snail's pace but when it debuts on the charts officially, it'll start rising and YouTube is only a tiny part of the story. We haven't taken into account downloads and streaming numbers. Put it all together and it's all going to be much more satisfying in the end as opposed to how it looks right now.

I also expected more than 10M views tbh considering Taylor got like 36M first day with me I thought wed get at least half that amount so like 16M to 18M

But it's ok the song is getting positive reception... It may still grow

Super satisfying. I'm enjoying the song so much! Meanwhile i was expecting less regarding the reception, critics were very good and it did great on YouTube, i confess that i did not know what to expect thinking about Joanne and even ARTPOP.

I think the biggest thing Stupid Love has going for it is that it's one of the most upbeat pop songs to come out in a while. It's a feel good song with a great dance beat which stands out in today's music.
