Refugee crisis escalates at the borders of Turkey-Greece

Last month has been disastrous about refugees. Long story short, Turkey promoted the refugees that were sustained inside the country to the borders of Turkey with Greece, which serves as borders with EU as well, following the bombings in Idlib, where Turkish troops fell to their deaths by Syrian troops backed up by Russian military forces.

Right now there are almost 4.000 refugees at the borders, demanding entrance to Greece and EU. Greek prime minister barred the borders bringing backup soldiers and policemen, citizens are terrified. There are tear gases thrown around and camps are made.

Things are getting ugly. Strangest of all is that greek media don't cover sufficiently what is going on. Everything revolves around coronavirus and the fact that greek government banned carnival events due to the virus spread restraint.

It's basically

Turkey, my great, amazingly competent  (insert eyeroll here) country being a messy bitch like: "y'all thought we would BOTH go to war with Syria AND keep their refugees? Honey you've got another thing coming."

and European countries being two faced in terms of judging everyone else when it comes to these things and not coming through themselves as usual

The "refugee crisis" only become one when desperate people try to save their lives by entering UE borders. The same UE who sponsored the crisis by sending weapons to the whole Middle East.

In the 70s when workforce was lacking, UE would greet "boat people", North and West African immigrants with open arms. Now it's time to face its responsibilities.
