Who hurt you all? Can we really not just enjoy a fun song and music video any more? She does a whole movie with an album of beautiful music and touching lyrics, and you all say it's too boring and too serious. She does a fun, futuristic music video, paired with a pure electro-pop song, choreography and stunning looks, and you all say it lacks depth and meaning and is too simple? But we needed more storyline, maybe a 1 or 2 minute of intro to explain better this world and all the different tribes. And it's way too much coreography, It needed something more. The colours, the retro fonts, the choreography (even though in certain parts it's a hot mess) - it's so much fun to watch. I wonder of there's a longer edit in existence because the teasers amounted to nothing. So much energy. It's a groovy song, one I'm sure the masses and radio will eat up. PopGa is back & she is serving. My honest stan opinion is that the song is a tad basic. I love the verses and 'freak out' parts. The hook &.. 'chorus' leave me wanting so much more. She gave into that awful, awful trend in music where choruses are being sacrificed for dance breaks.. when dance breaks can be apart of the song regardless. I really don't like the 'higher, higher' parts. They're so bland and I feel like I've heard them before. She did say that lots of people worked on it.. I can tell. The video just looks cheap and as if it’s part of Kesha’s Warrior album artwork cover. Plus, most if not all of Katy Perry’s single releases have been nothing but fun and boppy generic songs like Stupid Love but the visuals of her music videos are mind blowing and look extremely polished and high budget. Haroon 49,685 Posted February 28, 2020 Share Posted February 28, 2020 Okay I've watched it a few times and I think the newness has expired It's an okay video but it doesn't really do anything for the song in my opinion, except the dancing because that's really cool Nice palette but the rest I'm not sure. In terms of lead music videos I'd probably put this at the bottom, Perfect Illusion being just above it. In terms of music videos overall it's not at the bottom for me (looking at you Million Reasons ).
