I mean when is she going to break free and find Ariana's spaceship. I'm kind of upset the Ariana has been serving better visuals and even better choreography for the last three albums. It's like they took Ariana's - Be Alright - SNL live choreography and her Break Free music video smashed it together and threw in a pink pony tail. How are y'all fed? I mean seriously. How? I'm not even going to critique the song. But we all know it's no Bad Romance. Kesha served a whole campy story line and this is what y'all are praising. I mean, I love the choreo, it’s fantastic, but I was sort of expecting a storyline from the teasers we got. I was actually really surprised to see that the video was pretty short. I was low key coming in expecting like a Marry the Night situation. I’d have to continue watching it again though. It’s most likely a grower. As for the song, I’m actually kind of surprised that it’s basically the same as the leak. The only real notable change is that last chorus hits harder, and that’s incredible. The song itself is still a bop though, and that’s undeniable! EDIT - Okay, so I just watched it again, and it’s definitely a grower. I think after the—for lack of a better term—initial wave of disappointment that hits, you just start appreciating all the choreo. I mean, this video is PURE choreo, and it’s great. I can’t wait to see her perform this live. It’s definitely not as bad as some of y’all make it out to be. Saying that it’s literally, “her worst video ever”, “it’s so cringey”, “it’s ****ing awful”, etc. I mean, come on. Watch it again and it gets better. After the teasers I thought it would contain a story but ah well.. she definetly needs a new choreographer though, the dancing was a bloody mess (especially in the non existent chorus) and the camerawork + quality.. well.. it's a choice Anyway, the song is a cute but forgettable bop which will disappear into oblivia after a few weeks so I'm looking forward to the next one! Curl, a lot of people noticed that and hoped (including myself) she adds an actual chorus in the final version. But hey, it's still a great danceable bop.
