“Ariana did not invent the ponytail.” Tell them Wendy!

Did she say ‘No’ though when that guy said Gaga was going back to pop? :billie: I like that she knows her real name and refers to her as ‘Stafani’ most of the time. It’s sweet.

Stupid Love is selling 107x times the #100 song.

For comparison:

How many (much?) extra sales do you think we can get from those CD’s, vinyls and casettes bundles?

We don’t know cause they didn’t reveal how much was available for purchase in the first place. But like some users said, it must be around 5k-10k copies.

Yeah I’ve noticed that she likes Gaga more when she’s toned down as in Joanne, ASIB Gaga. Can’t please them all at the end of the day :vegas:

So how relevant is iTunes actually? Judging from the stats on Kworb:

- UK: #1 = 2000 sales

- Australia: 450 sales

- Belgium: 110 sales

- Brazil: 200 sales

- Canada: 900 sales

- France: 400 sales

- Germany: 600 sales

- Ireland: 80 sales

- Italy: 370 sales

- Japan: 500 sales

- Mexico: 330 sales

- Netherlands: 80 sales

- New Zealand: 35 sales

- Russia: 270 sales

- South Africa: 55 sales

- Spain: 170 sales

- Switzerland: 100 sales

- Turkey: 60 sales

Note that in countries like Brazil, Mexico, and Spain, Gaga's #1 lead is inflating those numbers quite a bit. E.g. in Brazil, the #2 only sells about 20 copies a day.

So, the only markets where iTunes still matters somewhat are the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, Germany and Japan.

In all other countries, iTunes is basically an irrelevant way to measure popularity of a song because so little people still use it. I mean, 130 sales for the #2 in a place like France is just tragique and any such chart we shouldn't even bother looking at.

Spotify, I would consider relevant (for us) in any country where the top English-language song is getting at least 100k streams per day. So: US, UK, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Philippines, Spain and Sweden.
