I think it’s mainly because you don’t really see such a vocal powerhouse like Gaga over EDM tracks that often, much less an entire album. And on ARTPOP especially you can feel the passion in her voice and it’s just so high energy. I wanna say anger too, but that sounds like a negative connotation. The production is just so big, heavy and messy as well, and the combination of those two factors makes almost all the songs so explosive A consequence of those two factors combining is that the in-your-face production masks such a strong vocal performance from her unless you listen to the album a lot and really pick it apart Anyways rant over, hopefully someone understands but I really hope she serves some of that energy here.
