SL is  the lead. And while I agree that her best as yet to come, I feel like this mindset is just straight-up denial. 

I am not "denying" anything, seems like you are assuming I don't like the single, while I made pretty clear in my post I do. If it is the lead single, it's fine with me.

Besides, I can't confirm my theory in any way, since I didn't listen to the whole album yet. It's just a guess, based on a feeling that I have (Gaga posting about a dinner in a restaurant for her birthday is very far from my conception of Gaga promoting the lead single of her new album, but again I could be wrong)

When you say "why promote it so much", what are you referring to exactly? The three (or something) twits she made (two of them clearly written by her CM), and that billboard? Oh yes, that "listen to the new Gaga on ... *INSERT : Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music*¨, that seemed to me more ads for the streaming services than for her new era 

All this only in the US and UK, unless I am mistaken.

The promo (IF there will be one) didn't start yet, this is just "hey, a have a new song out from an album coming up, stay tuned" to me.

We'll see what will happen next.

First of all, there's no need to be so heated. I wasn't directing my response towards you  specifically. I just personally find this "SL is not the lead" rhetoric to be so mind-boggling to me. Like, it's very clearly  the lead. There should be no discussing that. 

Look, I think she could do more promo. I personally would love to see her walking around to different radio stations and talking about the album, or doing different magazine shoots, etc., etc. But I think to believe that she's not promoting this song at all is a little foolish. There's a ton  of online promo, billboards, ads on streaming services, etc. This isn't Perfect Illusion where none of that happened. In fact, it's the inverse of PI. PI had a lot more physical promo (i.e. radio interviews, mostly), but it had virtually no online camapign. SL's the opposite. She's not out there promoting the song, but there's a lot that she's doing online.

More promo will surely happen when we get closer to the album's release, but let's not act like she's doing nothing either.

I am not "heated", actually I am quite sleepy at the moment. I don't know exactly where I let you think so, but whatever. If you felt somehow attacked I apologize. I didn't do it on purpose.

SL is clearly  the lead single. Silly me to think otherwise. I won't happen again.
