snooooooooze.

all of the oppo that is out there was used in 2016 and in 2020 we keep going through the same cycles:

1. socialism vs communism - castro, russia honeymoon, blah blah blah.

2. crime bill - over and over and over and over

3. 5 times voting against the brady bill - over and over and over and over.

4. medical records- he might die, blah blah blah blah blah.

5. too old, too white and too angry, blah blah blah blah blah.

6. nobody likes him, he wont comrpomise blah blah blah blah.

7. people who support him are nasty and evil people blah blah blah blah (everyone has these people).

8. can't win without black support blah blah blah blah - deny the fact that he is either tied or winning that support as of now.

9. more people are moderate blah blah blah blah

10. unelectable - blah blah blah blah - ignore all the polls saying he wins by greater margins than his competitors.

its the same old things over and over and over and over. They've used to them to the point they don't even phase me anymore.

Bloomberg isn't going to do anything different.

To be fair, the oppo stuff will probably be like, him sharing his electricity with his neighbor when he was poor, him not having a job right out of college, the obvious soviet honeymoon stuff, 3 houses (lol), The lies about Jane's foundation, maybe the "rape fantasy" taken out of context again, maybe his gun voting record, Bernie being a millionaire,  castro stuff from the past + today... etc.

I really doubt there's anything "brand" new, though Bloomberg has teased it or w.e

None of the moderates have a path to getting the majority of delegates anymore, their window has closed.

Them staying in helps lead to a brokered convention, because if they dropped out some of all of their support would go to Bernie Sanders. Thats just how people naturally coalesce in primaries  Biden's second choice voters have been with Bernie for 8 months now pretty consistently, even with the addition of Bloomberg. If he dropped out, Bernie's lead in ST would likely just increase, even if Bloomberg + Pete are able to pick up some as well, people gravitate towards winners, and we already know people aren't purely ideological.

Similarly, Warren people would likely go with Bernie as well as their first choice, even if some go to pete/amy/biden.

My guess is that the DNC hasnt pressured amy/pete/tulsi/steyer to drop out because they want a brokered convention where Bloomberg buys the nomination, but its still at this point more likely Bernie just outright wins the majority of delegates.

That's simply not true. There are 3 moderates who can win at this point, but they wont if they continue to split the vote.

Last primary, Bernie went all the way until the end, even if he couldn't win anymore. DNC watched him and did nothing. It's the same case here, but now you are making up a conspiracy theory? Why dont u make a conspiracy theory in regards with Bernie intentions in 2016 and why he stayed in the race even if he couldn't win anymore if u like things like that? :sis:

oops. I forgot a few of the greatest hits (i.e. rape essay, jane, millionaire).

but yes, to your point, it'll be nothing new and nothing bernie can't deal with.

Conspiracy theory? :rip: I'm just looking at math projections and data sis :laughga:

Bloomberg and Biden have a 4-9% chance of winning the nomination via a majority of delegates, and Pete is at a net 0% chance. Bloomberg and Biden would need to overperform everywhere and Bernie underperform everywhere, even though there are places where hes leading with 15%+ expectations, and in the 10%+ range like California, the biggest delegate state.

Bloomberg and Biden need to gain 1200 and 1300 more delegates than expected to win based on their average projection, and their most favorable projection only puts Biden right at the edge of almost making it, Bloomberg falling short still - That kind of overperformance is basically impossible without literally cheating, even if Warren/Amy/Pete drop out, because there is no way to guarantee 100% of their support goes to Bloomberg/Biden (and for that matter, Biden dropping out WILL help Bernie just as much as it helps Bloomberg)

For comparison, Bernie only needs 100 more delegates to win based on his AVERAGE of projections, which is at 1,800 and you need 1,900 to win. That means many of his projection models have him crossing the majority handedly, with his upper extremities going around 2.6k/1.9k needed. He could very well cross that 1990, even if no one drops out if he overperforms in just 2 or so key states like California and Texas and everyone else remains on the edge of viability.

If Pete/Amy/Steyer/Gabbard/Warren drop out and it is a Bernie/Biden/Bloomberg race, it is more likely that a contested convention happens yes, but it does not become possible for Biden to cross 1990 delegates necessarily or at least it does not become nearly as likely for Sanders to do so. And again, people don't vote on Ideology, all of those people dropping out cannot guarantee their support doesnt go to Sanders at all, and we know enough about primaries and votes to know that people tend to gravitate towards the most electable candidate and the winning candidate, like them or not.

The only way Biden/Bloomberg win is at a brokered convention where superdelegates override the will of the voters unanimously. There are 800+ superdelegates. Bloomberg has the potential to buy them yes, but Sanders lead is so high above the field that even a unanimous "endorsement" of Bloomberg (lets say all superdelegates) STILL might not be enough to put him ahead of Sanders. If Biden is in the race, they will definitely be split amongst those two, and Sanders won't get 0. There are also Superdelegates that aren't just 100% Anti-Bernie, and there are party officials who are more liberal than moderate but not progressive who arent as opposed to Bernie and see the value of him as a nominee who may correctly decide that destroying the party by making someone else the nominee is NOT worth it, because we will 100% lose :laughga: So... No, every single person in the race right now has no realistic chance of becoming the nominee without some serious shenanigans the scale of which would hand Trump the election.

As always, u really like to write. And for what?

My initial comment was : "bernie will win if all the moderates stay in the race".  So we basically agree. Of course no moderate will get enough delegates if they are fighting 3 other moderates.

The "conspiracy" part is for your assumptions about why DNC dont say to amy, warren and others to drop out. I invited u to make similar assumptions to why the DNC didnt stop Bernie in 2016 after he couldn't win anymore.

"There are 3 moderates who can win at this point" - you said that.

I told you it is not true. Even if people drop out, they do not have a path to the nomination that doesnt result in Trump winning, if that scenario even comes up in the first place.

It's not a conspiracy, I literally said "My guess" I didn't say it was factual. But its not implausible. And to answer your hypothetical, the DNC can't force people to drop out from my understanding, only suggest it. And I believe they did want Bernie to drop out and probably reached out to him to do so... however the calls for him to drop out came BEFORE it was truly mathematically impossible for him to win, that's the difference :emma: And even then he admitted he was staying in to spread his message and he had conceded defeat once it was apparent.

It's also possible the DNC HAS told people like Amy at least to drop out since she flopped in NV and didn't recapture any potential after NH. That's why I said its a guess. It's an informed one, but when I'm trying to show something as factual and not conjectural, I'll delineate it more.

Wow it's  sad how delusional this man is, thinking he really has a chance to win the nomination compared to who he is going against and especially after the trump presidency.  Makes me question why he really wants to be president I bet to give himself a comeup of course.

Just a friendly reminder that both Pete and Joe Biden have put $0 in advertising in Super Tuesday states. They don't have a chance at winning the nomination bc of CASH.

Warren took out a 3M loan bc she was broke prior to the nevada debate. No path to the nomination.

Tom Steyer - put a lot of money in NV and underperformed. No path.

Amy Klobuchar has not had a lot of money throughout the process until recently; no path bc the groundwork is not there. She can't use her money fast enough to get the support she needs.

Bloomberg has the money but has not demonstrated that his money has bought him support that will show up on election day.

What are u talking about? U are acting like if Bloomberg drops out, biden will stay at the same 20% he has in the x state now? :laughga:

Of course, no moderate can win in that situation. But thats not what happens when someone gets out of the race.

There is a reason why when Bernie went up in the polls, warren went down. It's the same reason why Bloomberg went up in the polls, when biden went down.

I'm not saying that all the voters will go to moderate candidate 1 if moderate candidate 2 drops out. But in a race between Bernie and a moderate, either Bernie or the moderate can and will get the most  delegates.

You can try to weasle out technicalities all you want  Right now, it is not mathematically possible or probable in the slightest that Biden or Bloomberg passes 1991 delegates and becomes the nominee.

Also, Bloomberg won't be dropping out because hes not trying to win. Not a conspiracy, just following what his own team is saying about his candidacy. He's here to be Anti-Bernie, which ultimately protects his class interests. Which is why he was "im not gonna attack Dems, i want us to win" but is now going to spend many millions doing it to the national frontrunner, which could hurt them in the general :emma: - It tracks, at the minimum.
