Miracle

Bernie Sanders is considered a communist by all of the USA and he's still getting that nomination. What makes Bloomberg think that his campaign onslaught is gonna affect him when's he considered an American traitor

Literally only the furthest parts of fox news + Trump are calling Bernie a communist :emma:

The rest is much more focused on the "socialist" part.

~~~
OT: This is the clearest indication that Bloomberg doesn't care about the Democratic party winning, just stopping Bernie. It is insane to try to destroy the presumptive nominee of the party going into the general election. Can you imagine if Bernie was spending millions running anti-hillary ads in 2016 how much blame he would get for her loss? More than he already gets despite aggressively fighting to get her elected :rip:
snooooooooze.
all of the oppo that is out there was used in 2016 and in 2020 we keep going through the same cycles:
1. socialism vs communism - castro, russia honeymoon, blah blah blah.
2. crime bill - over and over and over and over
3. 5 times voting against the brady bill - over and over and over and over.
4. medical records- he might die, blah blah blah blah blah.
5. too old, too white and too angry, blah blah blah blah blah.
6. nobody likes him, he wont comrpomise blah blah blah blah.
7. people who support him are nasty and evil people blah blah blah blah (everyone has these people).
8. can't win without black support blah blah blah blah - deny the fact that he is either tied or winning that support as of now.
9. more people are moderate blah blah blah blah
10. unelectable - blah blah blah blah - ignore all the polls saying he wins by greater margins than his competitors.
its the same old things over and over and over and over. They've used to them to the point they don't even phase me anymore.
Bloomberg isn't going to do anything different.
It doesnt matter. Bernie will win if all the moderates stay in the race.
None of the moderates have a path to getting the majority of delegates anymore, their window has closed.
Them staying in helps lead to a brokered convention, because if they dropped out some of all of their support would go to Bernie Sanders. Thats just how people naturally coalesce in primaries :shrug: Biden's second choice voters have been with Bernie for 8 months now pretty consistently, even with the addition of Bloomberg. If he dropped out, Bernie's lead in ST would likely just increase, even if Bloomberg + Pete are able to pick up some as well, people gravitate towards winners, and we already know people aren't purely ideological.
Similarly, Warren people would likely go with Bernie as well as their first choice, even if some go to pete/amy/biden.
My guess is that the DNC hasnt pressured amy/pete/tulsi/steyer to drop out because they want a brokered convention where Bloomberg buys the nomination, but its still at this point more likely Bernie just outright wins the majority of delegates.
