Well, McDonalds selling millions of burgers every day, doesnt make their food any less generic and manufactured.

Azealia Banks said the same thing once. At first I agreed with her, but in retrospect I don’t think it makes sense. If McDonald’s was generic then they wouldn’t be the world’s most popular burger brand in an international market saturated with competitors. Why should we consider McDonald’s generic? Because they’re a hugely profitable brand with droves of international competitors that try to mimic their success with similar menu items and branding? No one would imitate something if people didn’t like it. I consider waves of people purchasing a product at an unprecedented rate a better indicator of excellence than the pretentious reviews of few people that make a restaurant Michelin rated.

I mean, I would disagree but I hope you will atleast open an ear for me. Their appeal is of to of course, teenagers in a whole new way. Their appeal is to make teenagers feel like they are not alone, considering a dark history of members being bullied before they debuted and have been one of the first in their industry to do so.

They have far better cuts inside their deep discography such as Sea, Paradise and the forever so loved Spring Day. The 3 examples has shown a big variety of emotions, with Sea conveying emotions of loneliness, Paradise conveying euphoria and love and Spring Day conveying grief, in which to add, was to give respect to those of who died in the Sewol ferry incident.

It's almost like every other pop industry. Of course there are deep cuts. Some are released as singles. Like spring day. But for me, the appeal of kpop lies in the visuals, the choreo, the way the songs are written like...the lack of vulgarity I guess? I don't see half naked girls in videos for no reason. And when a song is about a girl or a boy, its not some video about a girl chasing after a boy or a boy chasing after a girl.

You shouldn't pay attention to people who say mean ****. People usually hate things they don't understand to compensate. It's human nature.

I just don't understand lol. Like some people on here complain about not knowing what kpop idols are saying because it's another language and they complain about needing translations. I mean...lyric videos exist. They exist for american songs too. These people act like lyric videos only came to be because of kpop or something?

Good for them, I'm not their fan, I have never listened to their music and don't want to, even if they would record something with Gaga (I'd wait for fanmade Lady Gaga Only Version), but their fans have to chill, they're trashing all Twitter timeline with fancams (they think someone will watch their videos xD) even on non-music-related tweets.

I don't even trust the stupid trends no #1 on twitter or anything on social media that fan created nowayday they can do anything by their money or views they believe it and it  can make "bad music" become a "good music" by thier views, followers, fans, views,  money, selling

maybe you should try "Kylie Jenner with singing and make a million dollar  buy her owns album to make her become  an Artist"

think about respect someone you don't know with hashtag on social media that stupid  like kpop done

Maybe i should think about "Music" not "by their look, their face, their activity can be #1 without releaseing music" that so stupid

THAT What we called "Idol" not real "artist" maybe you should try "Celebrity with singing with a huge fanbase"
maybe you should try "Kylie Jenner with singing and make a million dollar  buy her owns album to make her become  an artist" but at least she can't desever grammy

I'm so sick about respect someone with hashtag on social media that stupid  like kpop done

I‘m sorry? What do you wanna hear?

BTS produces and writes, supports smaller artists, are respectful and yeah, they have a huge fanbase but they have the talent to back it up. They came from a small, flopping company (Label) and built all their skills as they grew in popularity. It took them like 2-3 years to get recognition in Korea. Stop being so hateful. BTS puts in more work into their music than your average Pop Star in the Western World. Making a few words bold won‘t change that.
