He warned that society was not yet willing to make hard choices with respect to treating older Americans and this is “going to bankrupt us.”. He add “If you show up with prostate cancer and you’re 95, we should say ‘go and enjoy, have a nice day, live a long life.’ There’s no cure and we can’t do anything. If you’re a young person, we should do something about it,”. He also told a female employee, "kill it!" when she told him she was pregnant. I whatched the video. I think it's very heartless to just deny someone healthcare cuz they are too old #1 healthcare wouldn't bankrupt America if it was a cheaper universal system. The US system is filled with extra costs that aren't needed and profit margins both by the actual health care services (clinics and hospitals), plus insurance companies so that's 2 profits margins u gotta pay for #2 I realize ageing demographics are a serious challange in developed Nations and it's one of the reasons I support reforms like raising retirement age (which my Country is yet to follow the footsteps others have taken in that regard and I'm actually pissed about it cuz it's causing serious problems here in Canada indirectly) But denying care I don't think is the way to deal with financial burdens Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
