Nah the wardrobe isn’t the issue. It’s her marketing. She’s a glorified background dancer at this point and her team is literally doing NOTHING with her Her releases so far have been meh at best, her social media presence is non existent, and she wasted her hype with Motivation. WHERE IS THE ALBUM??? Like, we don’t know anything about Normani other than that she’s a good dancer. It also doesn’t help that literally everyone is trying to make her the next Beyoncé which puts a lot of pressure on her and the slightest misstep will affect her. I love Normani and I really want her to succeed but whoever is managing her isn’t doing their job. We need her shoved down our throats but instead... *crickets* that, and I want her to make an improvement on her music because it’s subpar at best. Also her performance tonight was really bad like what’s going on? She’s a great dancer but her music, singing, and songwriting is very meh so far. I’ll reserve judgement until the album release but her career trajectory is not going well

She really seemed out of it during that performance - singing and dancing wise. 

Only 2 of the songs were her actual songs and the other 2 were features.

If she wants to make a splash she needs to do something experimental but catchy. I think Waves was a step in the right direction...

I always said Normani is just another Tinashe. She wont be the next Beyonce or close to it. Its not her team that I blame.

performance ability and talent aside, I think non-5H/Normani stans just haven't really seen her personality yet, like she shold be on every talkshow promoting herself, not just her music. 

the music can be genius but if the audience doesn't know how you are as a person, then there's no connection, and eventually no one will care anymore.

She comes off as a little bit stuck up to me. Like, she thinks she’s too good to interact with fans because she’s got people like Beyoncé, Ariana, and Rihanna giving her props. I’m sure she’s probably not like that but the lack of communication might be hurting her more than her team thinks. It’s 2020. Can new artists truly find success if they’re not letting people in? Idk. It’s a weird situation with her.
