He is literally wolf in sheep's clothing. I am fully in support of "vote blue no matter who" except for Bloomberg. I would 100% support nominee Pete or Joe or Amy or Tom Steyer. Bloomberg is another beast and I really hope you understand that. :rip:

I'm not exaggerating. He's almost as bad as trump and has the potential to do worse. He's trump minus the Twitter shittalking.

Just look at his record. It's nothing short of deplorable. He's single handedly the worst candidate.

I’ve looked. Trump is way worse, completely incompetent and incredibly dangerous to our democracy. I’m voting for anyone over Trump.

I agree with you. In a way, he's worse than Trump because he's smarter and sneakier and has the good sense not to Tweet about every damn thing. At least Trump's pretty open about what a racist and misogynistic a$$hole he is.

The scary thing about making this system continue without actual change, is people will turn be more prone to being fascists, and the next American president could be a literal Nazi, but more cleaver about it. He will be ore like Putin and Netanyaho.

I dont support his vote for the Iraq war, but he recognize it was wrong and fought against it. His presidency will be against war crimes and stopping it.

Bernie has his own record on voting for bills that supported war. He voted twice in support of regime change in Iraq which had long lasting and devastating consequences in the nineties. He voted in favor of the war on Serbia: once, twice… and on April 28, 1999, he did it again. This was the astounding 213-213 tie vote, which meant that the House of Representatives repudiated the war on Serbia. Sanders also voted for the 2001 Authorization for Unilateral Military Force Against Terrorists (AUMF), which “pretty much allowed Bush to wage war wherever he wanted”.

Sanders clings to his death-dealing F-35 Lightning II fighter jet. As Andrew Cockburn reported in Harper’s, Sanders and his Vermont colleague Patrick Leahy waged a fierce bureaucratic fight to bring the jet to the Burlington Air Base as the premier weapon of the Green Mountain Boys, the 158th Fighter Wing of the Vermont Air National Guard. At $191 million per aircraft, the F-35 represents a technological wish-fulfillment for the defense lobby. So, while Bernie Sanders is saying we should cut military spending to fund free college for everyone, his defense of the F-35 means that despite everything else, Sanders is still just a politician.

According to opensecrets.org, in the 2016 race, Sanders took $366,458 from the Defense Industry, only 8% less than Trump.

The defense policy bill (National Defense Authorization Act or NDAA) has passed 56 years in a row, and this time the vote was nearly unanimous, with both Republicans and Democrats.

Bernie voted YES to the NDAA in 2002, 2004, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013.

If Hilary Clinton apologize and speaks against her war crimes in the past, then promises to run against it, I would fully support her. Unless we have proof that she had bad intentions, lied, and knew what she was doing.

So yes Bernie used to be horrible at foreign policy and voted for war crimes, but he admits he was wrong, exposed the wars, and ran against it.

There are things that are not forgivable and are done intentionally. For example, Bush illegal torture programs that Nancy Pelosi knew about and agreed to say nothing. Or Bush creating fake stories to start a war in Kuwait. Or the FBI wanting to kill Cuban refugees and blame it on another government so they can start a war. But Tulsi joining the military and Bernie voting for wars in the past is forgivable in my opinion, specially when they apologize and change.

Tulsi is still in the military.

Biden apologized.

Bernie didn’t apologize for everything. He’s a politician like the rest of them.

Bloomburg apologized for Stop and Frisk. He’s forgiven for that, right?

Yeah, good idea, then the courts will be so stacked against minorities and any type of remotely liberal agenda for generations to come...that you’ll be lucky if your children see any kind of progressive law ever passed again.

Bloomberg spent 12 million to re-elect Senate Republican Toomey in 2016, who won by only 1.5%. Had Toomey not been re-elected, Kavanaugh would not have been confirmed and we would not have a Republican-majority SC.

Nothing wrong with being in the military, specially that Tulsi works to help wounded soldiers.

I honestly never looked into Biden's war history and its details to speak about it. It depends on what he did and weather he knew what he was doing is wrong. For example, Bush knew what he was doing is illegal and wrong and lied about it, that is not forgivable.

Generally speaking, Bernie recognize he was wrong on foreign policy and ran against his past, he has a clean record the past 10 years.

Bloomberg is not forgiven because he did it intentionally, there is a huge difference between making a mistake and actually being racist. Specially when he still held his racist beliefs couple of months ago.

These are just my opinions, im sure everyone has different standards.

Biden was told that there were no WMDs like many other gov't officials will admit to this day. He still counseled others - including reluctant Republicans - to support the war. To this day, he lies about it and tries to say he never supported the war, but the evidence is all there that not only was he an early supporter, but an advocate. As of just December 2019 he had surrogates telling people Joe's votes didnt mean support because he was always against it, etc. Just lies and lies and never owning up to things.

Bernie on the other hand believed he would be a one term congressman and told his wife Jane that he had to vote with his conscious even if it destroyed the political career he had been building for decades. For his vote in the war in afghanistan, he has apologized and openly admitted his mistake while giving credit to the one who did not make such a mistake. That user likes to copy-paste easily argued against oppo research from like first page google results and what not, but much of it is stale tea :emma:

Bernie has not been a leftist on foreign policy for as long as his record is, he was more centrist in the past, but he came around much before he ran for President, which by my standards, shows that he did not change his views out of political expediency for a campaign.

She is assigned to the Middle East. She makes money off of the wars in the Middle East. She profits from the war.

You’ve seen this information before. I quoted it to you. If he voted for all, these wars and war budgets out of “ignorance”, then he isn’t going to be a good candidate for President.

How many years have to pass before you are forgiven for being a war criminal? By your definition, Bernie is one, so that means if ten years passes then all is forgiven and you then qualify to be leader of a country?

Bloomberg followed the precedent that was set before he came to office and the accepted crime deterrents at that time. He apologized and said he wouldn’t do it again, if he had it to do again.

Intent? No one tricked Bernie into voting for wars or funding the military, or supporting the military complex in his state. No one tricked him into signing the Crime Bill. He knew what was in it and he signed it.

I dont care about Bernie being a good president, that is for Americans to decide. I live in the Middle East, I want America to have a president who wont bomb the Middle East and stops funding Israel illegal crimes. And I believe Bernie is that candidate. Even if you think hes just a politician, the chances are very low for him to start a war and support Israel. By my definition, Bernie is not a war criminal but he did vote for wars.

Forgiveness is not by years passing, I explained to you my standard for forgiving politicians involved in wars. Acknowledge your past, expose the truth, and run for presidency against it. But if its proven that you intentionally lied and did crimes, then there is no forgiveness even if you apologize.

The GOP would have just waited until Saturday to vote, so Senator Daines could fly back in from his daughter’s wedding. Or Murkowski would have voted Nay instead of Present. It was never that close. The Republicans have wiggle room and Mitch knows how to count votes.

You has stated that voting for wars or voting for funding wars made one a war criminal. Guess you changed your mind. The goal post moves, depending on if you like the politician or not, huh?  Bernie will change our entire foreign policy in the same way Trump has built the wall. Amount of new wall built thus far = one mile. Presidents are not kings.

So there is no forgiveness for Bernie, as he voted for war, war budgets, the war industry in his state, and the crime bill intentionally.

I dont think I said voting for wars make you a war criminal, but even if I did, I forgive Bernie because he apologized and ran against it. This applies everyone, even Hilary Clinton and others. Unless you are a war criminal like Bush who tortured people and lied about it.

Do you think America can create wars in the Middle East if Bernie refuse? no, so its not like the Trump wall.

I think they will leave troops all over the ME and Northern Africa. ISIS will come back and we will end up fighting them again, even with Bernie being President. Bernie will fund the military, like all the past Presidents.

Yea, it will be like the wall. There will be lots of things like the wall.
