Kesha will do just fine and has plenty of fans. I'm one of them. I live outside the space time continuum.

Doesn't 'Lemonade' have like a 96 score whereas TFM got a 78? It just says it all. Born This Way got a 0 review from a critic who literally wrote that Gaga puts music out of her *ss... Well Lemonade was way better than TFM so

Midnightrush891 727
I honestly forgot she released an album, but I wouldn’t consider a top 10 debut a flop. People are too quick to throw that word around.

Metascore never means anything, imo, because the reviewers are biased. Some are even stans of their faves. I still don't consider High Road to be a flop. I live outside the space time continuum. She was a top pop girl in the early 2010s, which just highlights the changing of times. Our girls have to fight harder since they aren’t in their early 20s anymore. Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

She debuted with 45k sales, while the number 1 album of that same week was lil wayne's at 139k sales. The difference isn't THAT high. She even sold only 3k less than him in pure sales. In other weeks there are albums that debuted at #1 with less sales than her.

I think the issue is the comparing of artist, because if that’s the case no one will ever be satisfied with any numbers.

I didn't enjoy the album and the reaction from most people has been the same. I'm saying the reason the album isn't performing well is because the general public listened to the album and didn't enjoy it.
StrawberryBlond 14,699
I don't think the album was as good, ultimately. But it also had very limited promotion, the singles weren't very mainstream and the public didn't see Kesha quite as relevant as she was in 2017. It's sad that you really only get one big piece of public acceptance and then have to fight for scraps after that. But I think she knows and accepts that. People are impressed by the album when I play pieces of it to them and they didn't even know she put an album out, simply because the lead single and promo singles did not chart at all. She doesn't have momentum. Qualitatively, HR is better than anything she's put out. Songs like Shadow, Cowboy Blues, Father Daughter Dance are great stuff. But, being a gay niche pop musician and a bad lead single choice caused this.

You can have a flop lead and then a hit album. Most people didn't like Born This Way (song) at the time. Yet, the song went top 5 all over the world. So you can have a hit even if the song isn't popular. Okay i guess I’ll be the one to break it to you: Lady Gaga is not Kesha. Lady Gaga could put out a flop single and all the gays would still check out her music. Kesha is not Gaga. She didn’t gain casual fans, she didn’t prove herself vocally, and she didn’t make the gays have a dependent relationship with her. They just aren’t the same if you think the GP is clamoring for Katy and Kesha then of course you’re gonna be surprised her album didn’t do well
