Bernie won Iowa

In first alignment, final alignment, and SDEs.

Here is a detailed Google Document chart of IDP miscalculations that still need corrected.

Bernie is owed 2.615 SDEs and a Buttigieg owes 1.816. Bernie should have 565.112 - Buttigieg 562.196

Warren, Biden, Bernie, and Pete all owe or are owed delegates/SDEs in many precincts.

All caucus data is posted on the official IDP caucus results page. Amount of delegates/SDEs assigned to each precinct can be found here

How to calculate delegates/SDEs per candidate:

# of voters per candidate after final alignment ×  # of delegates assigned to precinct ÷ overall number of voters after final alignment.

Then, round the numbers.

If the numbers match up to the precinct's assigned delegates, that is how many delegates the candidates receive.

If the results show more delegates than assigned, the candidate with the lowest decimal above .5 loses a delegate.

If the results show fewer delegates than assigned, the candidate with the highest decimal below .5 wins an extra delegate.

Finally, divide # of SDEs assigned to the precinct by the number of delegates assigned to the precinct. Then, multiply that number by the number of delegates each candidate received. For example, say the assigned SDEs are 1.0 and the assigned delegates are 10. 1 divided by 10 is 0.1 so Bernie with 4 delegates would be 0.1 x 4 = 0.4 SDEs.

Pete still did incredible, even with second place. He's like my 4th choice (out of the five I consider viable) but I'm honestly shocked with how well he did.

But yeah, since math is subjective anyway, even when backed up with objective reality, I think Bernie won too :ohwell:

He definitely did incredible. And he still prob would have won more of Iowa's 41 delegates than all others (or at least tied) due to the way they are distributed.

Take it how you will :ohwell:

I'll take it as a more tolerable moderate replacing Biden which is ok in my book :huntyga:

Bernie vs Pete makes me feel better lmao
