Economy 52,854
I'm surprised no one commented on this yet I know he's got like 0 supporters on GGD but I still thought ppl would care about that incident with the woman
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Pete Buttigieg is in my opinion the exact problem with Democratic politics, and a lot of people feel that way, so that's probably why no responses, we wouldn't have anything good to say (also it just popped up for me) 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

I posted this but the video wasn't loading for me after 7 seconds and kept freezing so I didn't actually see the video from my own post Oh. I didn't watch it, but I can guess it was something pleonastic and focus group tested - something about "well, some people arent there yet, but i have great hope for this country and meeting people where they are at because those connections are really how we change hearts and minds" In fact, I would bet money that its in the ballpark of that Sorry, that's all I got 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
calmar 22,768
Interviewer: There's a video out there of a woman in Iowa who caucused for you, and when she found out that you were gay, she changed her mind. How real is that? How big of an issue is that for you? Buttigieg: It will happen. And the most extraordinary thing - I just saw that video today actually - Interviewer: How'd you feel? Buttigieg: Well, first of all, I felt proud of our organizer, volunteer, the campaign representative who on my behalf was speaking to her, and speaking to her with respect, living out the values that this campaign has been asking our volunteers and organizers to live by the whole time, and trying to reach out in the name of compassion to that woman's heart. I'm sad to see that it doesn't seem that she reached her, but (I) also think that that is part of what change looks like. Deep, real change is looking people eye to eye and engaging them with compassion. And if someone like me, in Indiana, while Mike Pence was governor, could come out and get reelected with eighty percent of the vote, then anywhere in America, I believe people can move past old prejudices, especially when the election, at the end of the day, is not about me or about this president. It's about the voters' questions and how their lives will be shaped by the choice they're about to make. @Economy
