Call me a partisan hack, but while many of Yang's policies reek of unnecessary libertarianism street cred, He is still, believe it or not, better than many other people running who are still in the race in that he brings something new to the table beyond just his identity. I consider him, overall, as being to my right on pretty much every issue other than legalizing and or decriminalizing drugs, of which he is radically further left than everyone else in the race except I think Tulsi or Marianne (???)

For comparison, Buttigieg is a conglomeration of old neoliberal ideas in a young millennial body. The huge gap in support between Bernie and Pete is a clear rejection of this ideology itself though... it's weird how adults recognize that young people are the "wokest" generation in one breath, but also imply their naivety in liking the old white male socialists as if its not our wokeness that lets us tell the difference between representation for representation's sake and actual structural change.  If Bernie was a young woman of color with the same message and somewhat parallel history, you bet your ass we'd be all over it, but here we are  

Anyway, I appreciate him bringing UBI to the forefront (even if he has IMO ruined how it should be talked about and framed it in the worst way possible  ) and I in general appreciate his down to earthness, especially in his town halls. Some might find his casualness problematic, but selective outrage over decorum that is not also applied for something like immorality or lack of integrity is asinine and should be discounted  IMO.
