Yes, the meetings with the radio stations are useless, they saw the result with PI..

It takes 2. You have to meet with them and get them on your side, but you also can't give them a shitty single.

Didn’t she do this for PI, and then nobody played PI?

Granted, I know nothing about how any of this works!

The radio stations in LA played the CRAP out of PI. That's how I first heard it. They also played the crap out of Shallow. 102.7 and 104.3 still frequently play old Gaga songs on the radio as well.

Of course there does. Her/the team need to pitch the track. It’s their opportunity to sell the song so that radio is more inclined to play it on release. She done it for PI

Bc that worked so well for PI

Not radios fault Gaga made PI as polarising and as jarring as possible for radio

You miss out on a ton a great music by only listening to the radio though.

Probably true, but my music tastes are pretty well rounded and I don't just listen to one radio station. I flip between several and will literally listen to  anything. When artists start getting attention, I check their stuff out via You Tube. Sometimes I get hooked and then I go buy singles or albums, and other times I'm not impressed and I move on.

Yeah, Gaga made no effort whatsoever to meet radio halfway with Perfect Illusion. It’s a rambunctious track with blue notes and the chords are purposefully unpleasant, lol. It’s almost ironic that she campaigned it for radio so much given how it sounds inaccessible even by Gaga standards.

On the other hand, Stupid Love sounds primed for radio. Not sure how unique it is sonically, but it’ll definitely fare better than PI, especially since Gaga’s in a very different place now.

That is the truth. I initially HATED the song, and it was ALWAYS on the radio. I remember distinctly telling my husband that I was NOT a fan of Gaga's new sound and I wouldn't be buying the album. And I didn't initially. I didn't buy the album until after I watched 5'2". Seeing the video shoot made me curious to watch the whole video, which I did, and then I was like "this song isn't that bad!" It really took a long time to grow on me, though. Now it's one of my favorites off that album.

I don’t think SL is the lead anymore otherwise it’s just a very bad move from her team. What do you guys think?
