am i the only one who thinks the version of SL that we have is kind of low quality? the more i listen to it the more i realize it seems so incomplete . . . maybe it's because it's not released yet.

Because it’s not the final version :flop:

Does there need to be a whole ass meeting to play a Lady Gaga pop/dance track?

Her team?

Isn’t radio play Interscope’s job?

Music biz is not my wheel house so maybe I’m wrong.

During Joanne era she performed for radio stations i remember that's where she first performed the title track and I remember her dad was there. It's part of the press and promo you gotta work the circuit to "sell" the album/single

Didn’t she do this for PI, and then nobody played PI?

Granted, I know nothing about how any of this works!

3 points in and ready for more

Imagine her in booty shorts and crop tops once again doing awkward radio interviews about STUPID LOVE being about Instagram and Snapchat!

That is kinda the thing. Radios don't have to play a song if they don't want to. So, for me it's literally a lost of time.

The major radio stations in NY and LA still try and have artists do interviews with the morning crew to debut singles. KIIS FM and Ryan Seacrest do this frequently. Radio is still a thing, and much bigger than a lot of people give it credit for. Many people over age 35 don't just stream music...they still listen to radio in their cars, especially people who commute. I'm one of them. I don't even fully understand Spotify, to be honest. I refuse to pay a monthly music subscription fee (which is why I also don't do satellite radio) I buy what I like and listen to the radio in the car, and sometimes use the Android Auto to play off my phone.  I learn about new music primarily from what I hear on the radio in the car, and I'm not alone in that. If I like a song I hear on the radio, I buy it on Google Play. Sometimes I buy the whole album.

Radio is how artists get mass appeal these days, not streaming services.

You miss out on a ton a great music by only listening to the radio though.

This just seems off? Like the tweet doesn't even make sense.

Gaga's team doesn't need to have sit-downs with a radio stations to play her music. And if they do need to negotiate, it can all be done digitally or over the phone. I understand scheduling interviews w LG herself, but not "meetings for later this month."
