djparky 262
Regardless of what tickets say, concerts tend to start between 8.30 and 9.30pm, even if doors open at 6.30pm. If it's a late late start this is usually known in advance eg new years eve gigs. Madonna has a recent history of starting shows late, its not good enough to start at 11.30pm, people who have lives and work and rely on public transport to get home- this is no good at all. And there simply is no excuse. I cant believe anyone is defending this behaviour. Any more than there would be if Gaga did it- I've probably seen them both about the same number of times and Gaga has started on time every night- Madonna has certainly not done that. Oddly in London, I believe some instruction has been issued that the show must end by 11.30pm, and shes been on time each night so far...start times is one of the reasons why I'll never go to another madonna concert. River 117,763
I find it funny that people put singers on a big high pedestal, like they are above us and can do anything that they want.. they are just humans and they need to give the same respect that they get, if not, there are consequences for that lack of respect. When they bought a ticket to see her, they payed money for a service that she's giving, singing, if it's written that the show starts at 8pm, it should start up to 30min from that time, max 1 hour but not 3 hours! there's no excuse for that. It's like a train or a flight, any major delay should be converted to a some kind of a refund.. it's pretty simple, not matter how many time you can scream "this is Madonna".. so? And I love Madonna since I know myself so don't start with nonsense. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
Dr Fudge 8,635
At least she sticks to what she’s good at. We love a good lawsuit kween. Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.
dlioncourt91 765
I mean it's wrong for her to be late and she needs to change it up. The last few tours have been a mess with start times. She was doing fine with RHT until it became an issue again. Though I wonder why a lot of Gaga fans like to always comment on Madonna more than her fans do. If she really bothers you, ignore her. Not sure why Madonna is always a focal point on this site aside from that stale ass feud.
Didymus 34,380
Huge fan but she had this one coming. She's been starting shows hours late for several tours now, so much so that most fans have come to expect this That's not ok. No other artists does this so routinely and her "I only do it when I have no other choice 'cause there are technical issues" excuse is complete bs. I am curious what the real reason is though lol. But yeah, I support this lawsuit. I myself chose not to go to the MDNA Tour in my country because I knew she was gonna be at least two hours late (she was) and I wouldn't be able to get public transport back home. So yes, Madge, it's that serious for some of us and it's not fair. Advertise correctly.

And Madonna is doing it almost every night. Girl my JWT date said 7PM, she came at 9PM. Not complaining though. I was waiting since 9am anyway and the show was AMAZING and we got the full show anyway. Almost 2 hours. derpmonster 22,412
Could it be partly that some artists intentionally start an hour late because people themselves are often late and they don't want to perform to an empty crowd? The Forum was like half full and concerning at 7PM. By 9PM it was 100% full and we know they weren't lying about sold out. Anyway, comparing Gaga with Madonna doesnt make any sense. It is known that no one is late like Madonna.

Not everything that has a double meaning is meant in it’s sexual connotation. It’s not about sexual connotation. What I meant was disregarding term that is used to describe someone weak. :P Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Without a listed end time, on what basis do the plaintiffs form their expectation of a departure time? Do they just guess? Oh c'mon there's surely a reason if I never see/ heard about an other popstar needing an official end time to prevent being 3 hours late lol. 2 hours ago, Nemo said: Or do they go online, read up on the tour, and (inevitably) find out not just the usual length, but that the show routinely starts late? Actually they don't inevitably find the madame X shows often starts late if they bought their tickets before the tour even started which is often the case. As it was said above, there's just no excuse for being so often so late. Placing the responsibility on the fans who didn't get what they paid for is probably a thing from madonna fans who can't handle a legit criticism on her. It did in the past but in modern times words like p#ssy, bitch, hell even the word sis can be used by men or to describe men. This is a consequence of gender fluidity. Doors opened 5:30. She came in at 9. I don't see how a show that says 7 starting at 9 is "right on time" At Vegas, at least the start time said 8pm and then she came in by 9 (again, no opening act). That was more reasonable. Check out iTunes data & graphs at CHARTPOP.live
