(Serious) New South Dakota Bill Completely Attacks LGBTQ+ Rights

In all seriousness, what the ****. It feels like we are rolling back time, instead of continuing on the path of progressing forward. Please spread the word about this to help people become more aware of this bill; hopefully that will do something to stop this from happening.

Can they really allow the state to "not enforce, endorse, or favor polices that permit any form of marriage that does not involve a man and a woman"?

The Supreme Court ruled that all states must recognize same-sex marriage. Isn't that against federal law?

Yes but these bills aren’t just about same sex marriage. It’s about discrimination and continuing to object to government because these right wing legislatures have to continue to double down on Supremacy. They want the Supreme Court, with a new conservative majority, to see the case again. It’s what many states do towards Abortion Rights. Narrow the wording of the law. That’s why many laws recently force women to hear a heartbeat from the fetus. Like yes, you can have an abortion but thru all the red tape the right wingers have propped up. 
 

What they want ultimately is change the way to get married. There’s already talk of mandatory guidance counseling before issuing of a marriage certificate. It’s not yet legal or illegal.

Also, These bills will throw doctors in jail for helping Transgender Children. 

There is a lot of misconception that Transgender Children are subjugated to surgery and hormone replacement therapy. They are not and have never been. 

There are studies approving of Puberty Blockers which lower suicidal rates among Transgender Children. 

It now becomes the government has final say in how medical science and parenting works with Transgender Children.

Oh, I know that this isn't just about same-sex marriage, but that's the thing I focused on because that was the first thought that came to mind when I read the new bill.

my hopes for the future is someone left wing expands the supreme court and replaces the already oldest on the bench. My worst fears is that someone right wing will also do the same.
