weed 78,938 Posted February 1, 2020 Share Posted February 1, 2020 The Senate voted not to call witnesses in President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial Friday afternoon, ushering in the final phase of the proceedings, with an all-but-assured acquittal vote possibly coming as soon as Wednesday. The vote was 49 to 51. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called the failed motion to call witnesses "a grand tragedy." I thought maybe some Republicans would actually switch. I'm disappointed, Bolton is trash but I hope he somehow brings Trump down in other ways. The Republican party is so blatantly corrupt that they just completely shirked their responsibility to uphold the U.S. Constitution it makes my blood boil to see that there is *no* justice in this country.
