Shorter albums generally means less fillers, yes, but they're over before you know it and then we're waiting 84 years for the next one. 8 minutes ago, brucee said: station to station by Bowie is like 6 tracks but it's an album. A quality album with no fillers just brings bigger fulfillment in the long run If it's something to the experimental side with longer tracks, I'd be down for that. A la what Kate Bush did with 50 Words for Snow (65 mins in length).

If you have 10 great songs on a 10 track album also great. I've been really loving short albums as of late too though. They tend to be more all killer no filler whereas the difference between the strongest and the weakest track on an album with more songs tends to be much bigger 7 minutes ago, Illuminati said: As a stan I always want as many new songs as possible but short albums just ALWAYS turn out better and more cohesive. I hate when there's a hard skip song midway through and ruins the flow. Cal y'all recommend some?
zerojk 4,987
I’d rather have a short album with all great songs (like TFM) than a long album with 1/3 fillers (like BTW)
xoxo Craig 55,649
I prefer longer albums I'm not waiting 4 years for a short ass 12 track album End Racism Now

Jose P 23,341
Well it’s more about length than number of tracks, since songs vary in duration. I personally feel that more than 1 hr 10 min is too long. Taking in consideration Gaga’s average song duration then she’d get there with like 17 or 18 songs. I don’t like that tbh. I know many are thirsty for new music but I prefer quality over quantity. I’d rather take a 12 track album (perfect number of songs imo) that’s cohesive and flows perfectly, over a bloated 18 track album that loses you along the way. That’s my only complaint about BTW. Fantastic album but a bit too long.

FameMonster01 7,075
Honestly, if I was a singer I'd do 8 to 10 tracks on each album, and every song would be a hit material. I hate when they make 15 songs on an album and 6 of those are fillers, 4 of those are okay-ish, 3 of those are good, and like 1 of those becomes a WW hit
