It also means more people are paying taxes including undocumented immigrants Employers already deduct taxes from paychecks and undocumented people don't even get any refunds so they pay a higher percentage of taxes than most. Reminder that the California housing crisis is entirely manufactured. Los Angeles has the highest homeless population in the country. And Los Angeles also has 35k vacant houses. The so called invisible hand of the free market has failed. Landlords couldn't be bothered to lower prices despite vacancies cause one landlord owns like 7 properties and it doesn't matter to them if 1 is vacant.
