I'm confused. Where I've said that the establishment "only" pointed statistical data in response. :saladga:

No, my point is that all these are dirty political attacks. Condemn them all or condemn none or accept that people will see you as a hypocrite.

Your example incorrectly modeled the situation, so it can't be seen as an appropriate example to demonstrate some kind of logical consistency or hypocrisy :duck:

I'll say it again, and that's it for now.

1) I don't believe that all political messages or ads are "attacks" just because they discuss another opponent.

2) I don't believe that even amongst political attacks, all attacks are of an equal weight.

(But also, you know that hypocrisy =/= inaccuracy right? If I am a hypocrite in this situation, it does not preclude me from being correct. I don't concede to being one, but just pointing that out, because I don't know why this is your biggest takeaway from this...)

No, I don't have really have much grassroots experience other than some door knocking volunteer work I did for a nonprofit for a short time.

That would make sense though. I guess it's easier said than done and takes quite the effort and leg work.

I work in the field and, unfortunately, a lot of the work has to be reactive not proactive due simply to limited resources. It’s the nature of the beast and is yet another reason why corporate America has so much more influence than grassroots. By nature, they just have more at their disposal

I totally agree with u. The organization that supports Bernie and sends people to Pete rallies with "racist" signs is x times more discusting that this recent attack that Bernie himself received.

That's why it is even more hypocritical that there are Bernie supporters here who sustain that organisation and yet are upset about this happening to Bernie.

Yeah no miss me with that. Idc to compare what is better or worse, but you do know that Bernie has been called racist, sexist, transphobic, misogynistic, etc. by like multiple members of the press either directly or indirectly right? Im going to go out on a limb and say that actual hired members of the press who appear on tv, all over media, etc. might have more sway than protestors at rallies... It gives them an air of "authority" when people see them and hear them.

First of all some organization or group of people who support Bernie protesting Pete are not affiliated with Bernie Sanders just because they support him :rip:

Secondly, there are serious legitimate questions Pete should answer for re his problems with the black community (including his own in South Bend) and there is nothing wrong with holding him to task for those things. Leftists on twitter didn't manufacture some controversy out of nowhere to tank his campaign, his policy, message, and history did that on its own. It would be silly to blame the people who noticed instead of the person who instigated, imo.

Is Pete a racist? I dont think hes any more racist than like, Joe Biden, or the average white person, no.

Do some people feel like his actions involving the black police chief in South Bend, his faking of support of black leaders, his rhetoric about police and respect in the black community, his rhetoric about black representation being an issue more than economic disparity and blatant racism, etc etc are racist? Possibly. It's a decent list of issues.

Well, I could go on, but there is a long laundry list of legitimate reasons that black people (myself included) have to distrust Pete, to protest him, to question him, etc. He said that his low approval with black people was mostly because of lack of name recognition and exposure. Tht was a few months ago and he's still showing at 0% average in some national polls, so... at some point it stops becoming coincidental :shrug:

This is my point. These are VALID CONCERNS.

Alleging that Bernie is a racist because someone he once spoke to said something racist is not the same thing.  Bernie does not have a long history of problematic speech, behavior, rhetoric that implies racism. Rather, establishment pundits are trying to force this narrative to exist with no backing for it. No one artificially created the narrative of Pete's racial issues, he created it, and we just noticed. One of these examples is about questioning a candidate about their stances and their values and their plans to change, and the other is about misinformation, trying to deceive people, and to defame a person.

~~~
To give another example, some black groups are now calling for Klobuchar to suspend her campaign because she may have wrongly prosecuted a 16 year old black boy in a shooting or something of that manner. Someone else who is currently in prison has confessed to the crime since.
If it turns out some members of those group who will likely protest Amy's campaign, rallies, etc. support Bernie Sanders, have donated to him, etc. Will you call it disgusting? A political attack? Would it be related to Bernie Sanders at all?
Again @ItsTommyBitch you are talking about so many things and I dont know if this is the place to talk about them. But I'm gonna say that u have a perspective problem. U are simply too much into Bernie.
U want to talk about different negative aspects of Biden and Pete, but when it comes to Bernie you go for the excuses and start another accusations. What am I supposed to do? To find the excuses for Biden and Bernie, just for a little balance. I dont want to play this game anymore.
You can find the excuses if you want, like you can find the racism in any candidate, including Bernie. The difference is that u choose to look the other way to Bernie and u choose to see the ugly in his opponents.
U wont find the truth, if you are not looking for it.
