I read somewhere that it could take up to a year to invent a proper vaccine against the virus  

In a matter of like a month almost 200 people died due to carona in China alone...imagine what could happen in a YEAR. This is frightening.

It would take a few months but they would literally have to skip the trials to see if it is safe 

Sooo I'd rather be in quarantine

I don't think it's too late. The problem isn't as wide in other countries as it is in China yet and they are hopefully put in quarantne, but people can still travel from China and infect more people.
