You’re not just voting Republican, you’re voting for Trump. Don’t get it twisted you bigot. Another “Gaga fan” who’s a Trump supporter to add to the block list sweeties :bye:

If you write Bernie in, if he isn’t the nominee, you’re voting for Trump. You are helping to keep a bigot in office.

Not if I’m registered to vote in NY henny. I stated very clearly I wouldn’t play with my vote If I wasn’t in a blue state.

I feel like that's really rolling the dice in any state. Nothing is guaranteed.

The hate for Biden is so strong here, that the moderators have to fact check some threads. :ladyhaha:

Hope this attitude against fake news will continue.

If NY doesn’t go blue on Election Day then the Democrat Party is forever screwed. NY going blue is more likely than the chances of LG6 dropping this year. Some things are guaranteed.

the only way your vote for a write-in actually sends a message is if Dems lose. Which would be catastrophic for society.

The increasing power of the DSA in primaries nationally is working to change the conversation and move the overall Dem party. That's where you fight for your ideals. General elections are where you vote for harm reduction.

We live in a democracy of 300+ million people. Democracy doesn't work if you aren't willing to think practically about your vote when it comes down to it. There are other ways to organize democracy and you should fight for those & for your candidates ... in a primary.

right. so vote for candidates who want to do something about it in primaries. Then vote for whoever wins the primary and try again next time if you lose.

Refusing to vote if you lose a primary only makes you lose to the side that will make the problem worse and further entrench the existing shitty system.

by abiding to the "rules" of the system, you are perpetuating it.  its very clear. the US must be one of the very few westernized country with such a strong bipartisanship. this is not healthy for democracy at all and actually annihilates other political currents and ideologies.

To guilt people because they voted with what they believe in is so wrong.

Maybe you aren’t fully aware of the consequences of having four more years of Trump? There is so much more to consider than “making a statement about the political system”.
