You are ignorant, bigoted, and not a Stan of Gaga as far as I’m concerned Your opinion of me as person or as a fan does not change the deep impact that Gaga has had on my life. Being conservative in one area does not mean I am this alt-right demon. I practice and preach messages of love, acceptance, kindness, and understanding throughout my life and will continue to for the rest of my life. If there was a time where I thought that my stance on social justice was more at risk than my views of (for instance) the economy, I would vote left. Would you want to message privately instead so that we don't have to disturb everyone here?

I say that to all LGBT Trump supporters. They get no love from me and are not welcome in any LGBT space. Ironic that someone who claims to be a firm follower of Gaga's "messages of acceptance, kindness, and love" is unsupporting of another LGBTQ+ Little Monster. Not very loving, accepting, or kind. But you do you.

I respect your opinion as well and am glad we can have a civil discourse about politics and still unite under our common love for pop culture. I’m an accountant and I’m a Democratic Socialist or as close as you get to it. Being a business student doesn’t really have bearing on ideology. As a side note, the only reason people are complaining that Bernie’s policies are so radical is because we’ve implemented right-wing economic strategy for over 30 years now. It’s radical because the strategy we implemented has increased wealth inequality to increase in disparity to the point there is no middle class. We have “haves” and “have nots.” The reality conservatives need to come to grips with is that have nots struggle until they demand change. America has not been domestically disruptive since the civil rights era and unless something changes, our future is looking to be very disruptive and violent. And the people that will deserve the blame are the media and corporate elite class for being so greedy and expecting the middle and working class to have increasing costs of living with no real increases in wages in a capitalist system that is always demanding more efficiency and productivity. Note: I don’t condone violence at all but history shows very clear examples of what’s to come.

I grew up very fortunate to have been unnaffected by the policies in place in my lifetime. I can fully understand why someone with a different life experience than myself would feel differently about economic policies. I've grown up around powerful businessmen and businesswomen that have been unaffected by things like the 2008 recession and other economic events that have had catastrophic impacts on others' lives. I also understand how that may appear as ignorant (as in a "not my problem" type of way). I am studying business to not necessarily follow in the footsteps of those I've looked up to, but still enact the change I practice in my personal life. For example, making everyone's voice heard, creating a safe work environment, etc.. I don't know if what I am saying is making sense... but I hope you get my point (or what I'm trying to get across as my point).
bloom 286
Imagine caring more about "money" and "the economy", literally man-made concepts, than actual human lives and taking care of one another. You're only as strong as your weakest link, and when I think of America, I think of gun violence, poverty, people dying due to lack of health care, and delusions of grandeur, and yet, still, somehow, PEOPLE WANT TO LOWER TAXES! Unfathomable greed.

My perspective is very different. My parents were high school drop outs. We were on food stamps and Medicaid. I wore the same clothes from middle school through high school because they couldn’t afford it. Before my parents divorced, they were both addicted to drugs, truly living in a world of despair. Once my mom divorced my dad, I had to work full time hours while going to high school and college just to pay bills. College was never the most “fun” years of my life because I had more important things to do. My mother worked very hard in a low wage job and then lost that job when she got colon cancer. She died two years later (January of last year). Her entire life was a life of poverty, despair and economic anxiety. So, I do get very upset with people on this forum who think we can’t have Medicare for All, that the richest don’t deserve to pay more taxes, that the minimum wage is too low and that this country can do better than the BS it has done in the past 30 years. I am terribly sorry that that has happened to you and offer my deepest condolences about your mother. I could never imagine something like that happening to me. I recognize how your life experience is not only completely different than my own, but also leads to you having completely different views than me. I commend your hard work throughout high school and college (and I'm assuming that work ethic has stuck with you). I've worked as well in high school and over summer breaks in college, but never to the extent you have. I've worked for minimum wage as well and recognize that a minimum wage is not a "living" wage without additional government assistance. I hope you can see that aside from my views of the economy, I still have love and respect for people of all backgrounds. I have friends on food stamps in subsidized housing and friends with houses all around the world. I don't value one more than the other or think one worked "harder" simply because of their income. I don't know, I hope you can see I'm not some conservative monster just because I have different ideas on economic policy than you.

First off, Trump is not the same as McCain. Secondly, 24 percent of Sanders voters did not vote for Clinton in the general election. Of these, about half voted for Trump, while the remaining half voted for Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, another third-party candidate or didn’t vote.
