Biden won’t commit to supporting Sanders if he is Nominee

@HorusRa2 I think it's only fair that you update the OP to reflect the fact that AP issued a correction. Biden was not asked whether he'd support Sanders if he becomes the nominee; he was asked if he believed Sanders could unite the party.

I know they say a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting its shoes on, so I don't doubt there are now a ton of GGD users who think Biden refused to say whether he'd support Sanders. I don't blame you for that; it's AP's fault. But I think the OP should be updated for anyone who will read this in the future.

Frankly, I think his quote makes a lot more sense in the correct context: "We have to unite,” Biden told reporters in Muscatine, six days before the Iowa caucuses. “I’m not going make judgments now. I just think that it depends upon how we treat one another between now and the time we have a nominee.”

And the correction itself:

"This story has been corrected to show that Biden was questioned on whether Sanders could unite the party as the nominee, not whether Biden would support Sanders if he’s the nominee."

Also Bernie has been in politics for over 40 years. That old man IS the establishment, and don't you ever get it twisted, kiddos.

Uh, please look up the definition of establishment.

2 years ago I would have said this (excluding that fact I always hated Trump)

I've veered slightly more to the left now on economic matters than I used to (tho I still think Bernie's goals go way too far). I support him for the general direction he would sway America as I know the Government wouldn't let him go all the way anyway

I agree Bernie's goals can be too ambitious and realistically the government would balance those out. I am much more conservative economically and that is a very important part of what I look for in a candidate, so that is why I tend to stay right. However, anything social justice and equality wise I am 100% for.

You’re not. Don’t delude yourself. You wouldn’t vote Republican ever if this was the case no matter how fiscally conservative you are. You should be ashamed of yourself regardless :fthis:

It is pathetic that you can't separate someone's political views from their taste in music. I have been a Gaga fan since I was 8 years old and will most likely continue supporting my idol for the rest of my life. She made me accept my sexuality and embrace who I was from such an early age and opened my eyes to a world I would never have seen. Also, yes, you are correct, I am voting for Trump. I refuse to not vote, and I'm not voting for Bernie, Warren, or Pete. I also said I would consider voting for Biden as it gets closer to the election.

For years I was a solid Centre-Right on economy but now I'm easily Centre-Left

I re-evalued certain things and reached new conclusions

But if course I respect ur opinion. I understand where conservative economists get their logic and reasoning cuz I used to share it myself

As an open and proud gay man, I can truthfully say there is no room for hate in my heart. I don't care where you come from, what you believe in, who you love, who you vote for, I will support you 100% as long as you aren't hurting yourself or anyone else.

It is pathetic that you can be so ignorant to listen to Gaga’s music and messages of acceptance, kindness, and love and be okay with the sewage that comes out of Trump’s mouth and vote for that POS. You are ignorant, bigoted, and not a Stan of Gaga as far as I’m concerned :bye:

Anyone who votes for Trump is a bigot. Period.

I've argued about ppl needing to be more civil and respectful regardless of differences of opinion to bother to get aggravated with another rant so I'm not gonna bother

I don’t support you at all and I wholeheartedly wish that you weren’t a part of the gay community. I say that to all LGBT Trump supporters. They get no love from me and are not welcome in any LGBT space.

I'm currently a business student and have a different view of the economy as people with different perspectives and can understand the other side as well. I respect your opinion as well and am glad we can have a civil discourse about politics and still unite under our common love for pop culture.

There’s no such thing as civility when people openly state they support a vile creature like Trump. Whatever, I’m putting that user on block mode so it doesn’t really matter

Cool!

If ur interested in a discourse, I can explain in detail why I've changed my stances a little bit

But it would take a while to explain and type it all out so I won't bother unless u actually tell me u wanna know other wise I'll leave it :emma:
