I don’t think that’s the reason she’s not attending. Come on, she has 3 noms and has won Album of the Year twice already. 
 

But for real, if that were the reason... give other people a chance, Lover is not that good and while Reputation only got 1 nomination back then, she’s still getting a lot of recognition and she’s only 30 years old.

Good point lol. We might be too quick here. But I dunno, does she have another reason not to go? Does she have a busy schedule rn? It seems like an event you don't skip unless there's no other way for most pop stars.

My guess is that she skips this year because they snubbed her and the Deborah Dugan mess.

That said, it never sits well with me when someone as accomplished and with as many accolades as Taylor "calls out" the Academy for "snubbing" her when that's clearly far from the truth only because she feels entitled to a nomination.

I mean, she could've at least told her team to release a statement pretending she wasn't attending in sympathy for the people who got assaulted, discriminated against and shut out but instead it just reads like a more mild and collected version of Ed Sheeran's temper tantrum.

Although some Swifties were outraged by the snub, the superstar did not seem bothered. “LOVER IS NOMINATED FOR SONG OF THE YEAR AT THE GRAMMYS!!!” she wrote on her Instagram Stories after the nominations were unveiled. “Wrote this one alone in a quiet moment and seeing it honored in the Song of the Year category by my peers means so much, wow…3 noms guys!!!!”

I misread, sorry. I thought it was saying that her team released a statement saying that that was indeed the reasoning behind her withdrawal.

In that case, of course she's entitled to not going and there's nothing inherently wrong with it. I will stand by my opinion that withdrawing because you feel snubbed as someone who has a lot of accolades comes off as entitled (like in the Ed Sheeran situation) but since we have no proof of this being why she isn't going there's no reason to apply it to her and, again, I apologize for jumping to conclusions.
