Gaga Medicine

There are a lot of classic pop/rock songs that have choruses with just one sentence, that I can remember now:

Faith by George Michael

I Want Your Sex by George Michael

Taste It by INXS

Mad World by Tears For Fears

Jump by Van Halen

Runnin' With The Devil by Van Halen

Bad Kids

It's inspired by vocal drops EDM music

And when you say my name, like white horses on the waves, I think it feels the same, as an ocean in my veins.

no not all... I agree its one of her best pre choruses, but it cant carry the entire song... like I said in another post, its a shame to waste such a good pre chorus on a chorus that falls super flat. I still have hope that the studio version will have new lyrics in the chorus

The chorus don't need new lyrics either... Stupid Love kind of works without a big anthemic chorus. It's like a euphoric false alarm climax that you can just jam and freak out to. Hopefully it grows on you. But I think we all just need to wait for Gaga to actually announce/release the lead single, because, we don't even know if this is the lead. Nothing is 100% confirmed.

All of those songs you mentioned have a legitimate melody in their chorus. In Stupid Love, following a DECENT prechorus, the production is doing all the work with a three note vocal melody from Gaga. It's not a legitimate chorus. Y'all standards have dropped

SL's pre-chorus is not decent, it's beyond perfect

and I don't see how these songs have a stronger melody than the "oh uh uuh oh oh oh" of SL, but I can understand why some aren't into the first part of chorus.

So you think everyone who loves it is in denial? Dude, maybe we just really like the song, we're not justifying anything.

Again I think she could have done something more vocally interesting there and i don't like that washed out synth.

As for the chorus, literally play just her vocal melody on a keyboard or any instrument and compare that to ANY of the songs you listed and you'll understand my point that there is no effort put in the chorus melody.

I'm not trying to justify anything, I literally loved the snippet of the chorus we got back in August

"LoveGame" is a prime example of a song with a lackluster chorus that still became a hit. Everyone only cared about the pre-chorus :ally:

ALSO I think it will be easier for her to perform SL live because the vocals are less demanding. She can dance more in the chorus without getting as winded.
