He will lose the debates, just like he did before, but it won’t matter. Trump could get out there and drool and piss his pants and the GOP voters would still claim he was amazing and come out to vote for him. No one is changing their mind! i think the hardline MAGA supporters won't you're correct. But I think the rust-belt voters, and the people who believed the poisonous things Trump said about Clinton during the debates ("She's physically unwell", "She supported the war" "She wants to put a million people out of their jobs" etc) can still be swayed--as long as the candidate he's up against has been consistent in their ideology for the majority of their career (cough cough Bernie Sanders cough). Those would be right leaning Independents. There are still going to go for Trump again. They still don’t want those imaginary brown people to come over the wall and take their jobs and their spouses jobs. Trump may disgust them, but they are more frightened of brown and black people. As long as the economy is good, I think we are screwed.
BARCODE 1,141
According to USA Today, a reliable poll shows that there is no signs of stopping Pete Buttigieg's growing trajectory. Following a confirmed Iowa Caucus win, Buttigieg became the first openly gay winner of the caucus. Just a few days later, a bump in most polls now shows Buttigieg has surpassed candidate Bernie Sanders in a slight margin in NH. This is the first primary state, and a NH win for Buttigieg could be a game changer going into other states like Nevada. Originally panned as a flash in the pan candidate, Buttigieg has now proved he is a formidable candidate that could take the Democratic ticket akin to the way Barack Obama did in 2008. Why do you think Buttigieg is suddenly becoming a possibility as a frontrunner? Why have his numbers began to beef up when the voting has actually begun? Is he stealing votes from the dying Warren and Biden tickets while Bernie is plateauing? A)That's not true. There are alot of polls that have him even tied to Bernie right now. B) All of those polls have a 4-5% margin of error. C) Those polls were mostly taken before they announced the actual winner of Iowa. D) Buttigieg's numbers have consistently gone up the past two weeks while Bernie's are flatlining. Buttigieg literally surged upward an average of 14 points in the past week in NH.

So honestly I don't care about identity politics anymore. TheQueenLG 2,469
I would love to have a 'progressive gay man whose not bribed by the rich and wealthy' as POTUS. Pete Buttigieg is not that man. I will vote for him if I have to... I just hope he doesn't become the nominee.
