Lion Heart 15,041
I wonder if Biden voters are deflecting over to Pete. Also, NH is more liberal than Iowa, so I guess we'll see how strong Pete and Bernie's support is there. Also I believe there is a debate tonight, so that might make an impact. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

Harris Walz 2024 1,451
Ok, well if you are interested in a great article and want to know more about Pete. Here's one from CNN. How Pete Buttigieg rose to the top. Des Moines, Iowa (CNN)Pete Buttigieg knew he had pulled off a feat that, a year ago, was unthinkable. Taking the stage just before midnight as the Iowa Democratic Party's slow-motion disaster unfolded on caucus night, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, claimed victory before any official tallies were in. "So we don't know all the results, but we know by the time it's all said and done, Iowa you have shocked the nation. Because by all indications, we are going on to New Hampshire victorious," Buttigieg told his supporters, in a move that struck some as audacious. But Buttigieg, whose campaign had built one of the best organizations in the state, was confident in the data coming from his team. I could be wrong but to think and to expect that people of color would just jump on a candidate who has been very bad to POC in his city of south bend just because Obama said so is to treat POC as a monolith and I just don't think that's something that makes sense to me. When do candidates typically announce their VP? Who do you think Bernie is going to choose? My guess is Nina Turner or Tulsi with Nina being much more likely. I love how they announced him as winner yesterday when the ****ing DNC itself is calling for a recount because of vote inconsistencies and no other media outlet announced a winner. My guess is Nina Turner or Tulsi with Nina being much more likely. It depends. It's mostly after they get the nomination or at the convention. I could see him picking Nina, but I'm just not sure she's the right pick. In the event something bad happened and Nina had to be president, I don't know if she's ready to be commander in chief. She's much better at the grassroots. I think he should pick Tulsi Gabbard. If not, she should be secretary of defense. I think he couldn't do much better than Andrew Yang actually. He's very likeable (kind of cheerful even compared to bernie's demeanor). Yang is also an "outsider" and won't be subject to attacks on the right as a swamp creature of the govt. Yang is also very appealing to Trump voters and adds diversity to the ticket (First Jewish President and first Asian American Vice President). I think he'll still choose a woman considering where all the political discourse is but that's what I would do if it were me. Tulsi and or Yang. It’ll most likely be Barbara Lee I don't think Bernie is going to pick another septuagenarian to be his running mate. The best "establishment" choice would be Lee that I can think of but there are better options than Lee out there. Plus Bernie really needs a younger person to be part of the ticket. 73 isn't all that far off from his 78 so I think that is just the wrong choice. Tulsi is quite hated according to favorability polls. With her past of homophobia I’m sure Bernie and his team will make a much better pick.
