I think that Here You Come Again will get the boot.  I think some people will over compensate for the anticipated higher ratings of the signature Dolly songs by giving it less than a 10.

I really really love Light of a Clear Blue Morning and if I could take my 11 back right now and give it to that song I would. I think that it was in good hands with GGD so I'm confident it will stay for the top #5.

Oh noooooo.

Average Score: 8.544

High Score: 11 @Ronk @Glamourpuss

Low Score: 5 @Blue Madonna

Comments:

@Lois Griffin~ “The quintessential Dolly Parton pop song.  This is on the list of Dolly Parton must-haves for my wedding.”

Chart Info:

Australia: #10

Australia (Year End): #71

Song Information:

Here we have the Parton song that truly made her a pop crossover artist. After changing management (signing with Sandy Gallin) and pissing off at least 50% of Nashville, much was on the line in terms of making this new era work. After peaking in the Top 5 of the Hot 100, this era (and her status as a crossover artist) was solidified. The song itself remains one of her most popular and is always performed during her live concerts. “Here You Come Again” (the album) would end up being certified platinum and peak in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200.

Willow Dean's magic act deserved more. :messga:

It feels right that her highest rated song be more country than pop so I'm fine with this.
