I remember some point during the C2C era, Gaga said she would never use heavy autotune again on her future releases, and that it hindered her voice. Do you think she should still uphold this or would you like to hear her autotuned vocals again?

My two cents that no one asked for: Gaga has proven herself to be a powerful singer. Everyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past few years knows that she can actually sing, and for the most part the days of the GP calling Gaga another basic, talentless pop star are over. She doesn't have to prove herself anymore. I think autotune can be used in really interesting ways and I personally love the way her voice sounds when autotuned (HML, SHICD, ARTPOP the song). Based on what we know about LG6, we can infer it will be largely electronic sounding, a genre that tends to experiment with autotune/distorting vocals. I think it would be cool for her to experiment with electronically distorting her vocals again.  Some other examples of autotune being used in good ways:

So what do you guys think, should she stick with using her natural voice, or would you like to hear her experiment with autotune again?

*DISCLAIMER* When I say autotune I am using it as a blanket term for all ways of digitally altering voices to sound unnatural, like vocoders and digital harmonizers. I know there are technical differences but I don't know all the nuances.

**Also  I know that technically her voice has been digitally altered for minor pitch correction on some parts of Joanne and ASIB, but I'm talking about using it in a way that isn't subtle.

Yes please. We live in a time where artists are no longer restrained by their natural voices, they can use technology to express themselves in infinite ways - why not make use of that?

It sounds cool when used for effect rather than to hide bad vocals, e.g. Poker Face, Just Dance, Paper Gangsta, Starstruck

Yes! People think autotune is there only to ''hide'' bad vocals but it's not.. Possibilities are endless.. I would be so here for her using autotune in a cool way like she did in PF for example..

If any of them sound like Paper Gangsta she needs to stay away from auto tune as much as possible

Yeah, if it's conceptual and not just random af. But first she'd have to go back to making music in general. :trollga:

Only if it's used as an effect like how Grimes adds effects to her voice in her songs.

If it's to add an interesting effect to her voice on a song or two, then perhaps. Like Paper Gansta for instance was a cool way to have used it.

But in general, no.

she doesn't need it but I personally have always liked how her voice sounds with it

Like Telephone is one of her most autotuned singles but it works with the song

I agree but how did she use it in a cool way in PF?

Whole song is pretty autotuned but you can clearly notice it in ''P P P P Poker Face'' part.. Whole song has some vocal effects on
