I stumbled upon this on Twitter and wanted to share this with all of you:

This girl interviewed Gaga at the time of the release of her #1 album, Joanne.

Loose translation of her tweets:

When asked “Gaga, what do you think of Donald Trump?”, her dad, sitting in the same room grumbled. Gaga was looking down. I wanted to die… Finally, she looked up and answered that she didn’t want to give any more attention to Trump than she already had. I smile, I thank her, all done. Except…
Gaga turned to her father and asks “What? You didn’t like my answer?”
Answer, with a strong Italo-American accent: “No! I didn’t like the question !!”.

I timidly try to explain that these where my instructions, that the French public is interested in popstars’ commitment. […] Papa Gaga doesn’t want to hear anything about it: we’re here to talk about music, not politics. He as well is small, but I’m freaking out.
Finally it’s Stef (we’re friends now) who stops the Papa drama, telling that I’m just doing my job. Her dad calms down, I take a deep breath, but I’m still sweating.”

Also, in her tweets, the girl explains that she was surprised about Gaga being so small :nick:

The interview in question:

The question about Trump was cut though.

I love her dad :ladyhaha:

Its amazing to me how he has been able to raise such an open and free spirited child and yet seem to have a such a short temper or just very vocal when things irritate him.  I've read before where he got mad at the paps or reporters. Even Gaga has talked about it before.

I guess he was the stricter, more vocal one and Cynthia the more calm, patient one.

Idk I feel like it's a standard question and he didn't need to make someone feel uncomfortable about it. Not like they asked her if she's into BDSM.

I think he wants to protect his daughter's career but the thing is he will not always be there to stop "risqué" questions so he should trust his daughter to handle it.

She clearly can handle it.

Me too.

Gaga is a daddy's girl. He strikes me as the type to be softer with his daughters but tougher on everybody else.

I get the impression that Cynthia is a strict mom because of things we know like her cutting Gaga's hair at night and not letting her be herself and then there's what we know about her dropping out of college. It seemed like her dad was the most supportive and gave her the ultimatum where she had something like a year to pursue her music career.

Smother Em Eh

He always seemed fiery.

About who was the strict parent. Even though he seems like he’s the heavy one, I think it was Cynthia. The things Gaga has said about her and Cynthia has said in interviews basically stating that she was hard on Gaga.

I mean I think it’s kinda obvious when you put this together with his job and Gaga’s comments in Inside The Outside about fans “changing his opinions” aka not being homophobic anymore, he was/could still be a Republican lol
